Task 2

Some individuals argue that the authorities need to pay attention to poor residents. I
could not agree more with this opinion because the government has responsibility and power
to mitigate poverty and improve the people’s quality of life.
Firstly, job vacancy is a basic duty for the authorities to overcome the poverty. The
unemployment happens due to the limited occupation in a country and the higher competition
with other job seekers. Sometimes, individuals should be competed with foreign employees
because there are no restrictions for foreigners to apply the position in companies. Therefore,
the government should give many chances for natives to obtain a profession through a
regulation. For instance, the Indonesian government issues a regulation for foreign companies
which is established in Indonesia to optimize the local people as workers.
On the other side, the authorities have more power to control the social welfare,
especially in preparing the basic needs of societies, such as job, home, foods, and education.
In Indonesia, the responsibility for government to protect their residents is written in a law so
that Indonesia has the ministry of employment and ministry of social affairs to help all
societies have enough sources to fill the basic needs and chances to enhance the income. As a
result, the unemployment decreases and the social wellbeing improves.
In conclusion, some others notice that the unlucky people in a country should be
protected by government as a regulator who has a power to improve the people’s quality of
life. I believe that this idea is relevant and rational way to overcome the poverty and jobless.
