2022 A YEAR FOR RECOVERY
In terms of the hiring behaviour we experienced last year, the areas which were more active in the
demand for talent were Technology, Finance, Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Logistics. For 2022 we
expect it to be very similar, since these industries are playing a leading role in the reactivation of
the economy, driving the demand for specialized professionals at a steady pace.
This is also the perception of 58% of our surveyed clients for this new issue of our compensation study. They assure
that for 2022 they expect to increase their number of employees in their structures as follows: 60% expects an
increase of 1 to 10%, 23,4% from 11 to 20% and 19% a 21% growth or more.
On the other hand, it is key to mention the behaviour of the main sectors we attended last year in terms of gender
equality. A topic that is becoming more and more relevant in the business agenda and its competitiveness models,
since it has been proved that productivity increases when diverse teams are consolidated with a balance of men and
women.
Although we continue to see predominantly male sectors such as Technology and Engineering part of this is due to
a lack of female talent in these areas. For example, Technology is an issue that begins at university, since only 2 out
of 10 STEM majors are women, which makes it difficult to make it equal between genders to cover the demand of IT
positions.
