Christmas poems Festival

Primary

Winter Chill is in the air

Snowflakes dancing on the ground
Make a wonderland of white
Joy and laughter all around

I'm a little snowman round and fat,

Here are my mittens,
Here is my hat.
Add a little scarf and a carrot nose,
I stand so tall when the cold wind blows.
Song 1
I'm a little snowman short and fat,
Here is my scarf and here is my hat.
When I see the snowfall,
Hear me shout
"All you children please come out!"

It is Christmas Eve morning

The family is stirring
Everyone is waiting
And the kitty is purring

The house is decorated

Lights are on the tree
Christmas is everywhere
As far as you can see.

Song 2
Christmas is coming,
the geese are getting fat,
Please to put a penny in an old man's hat;
If you haven't got a penny a ha'penny will do,
If you haven't got a ha'penny, God bless you.

The Christmas tree

The Evergreen
All are full of lights
And golden streams

Sleigh bells jingle

Carols are singing
Stockings by the fire
Are merrily hanging
Song 3
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride
On a one-horse open sleigh
Oh! Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride
On a one-horse open sleigh
Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh
Over fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob-tails ring
Keeping spirits bright
Oh What fun it is to sing
A sleighing song tonight

Christmas comes
We shout it for joy
This is the time
Everything is on a high

First child:
Dear teachers , friends and parents, let me say
That we wish you a very glad Christmas day.

Second child:
That our darling old "Santa," as sly as a fox,
Will leave at your door a bundle and a box.

Third child:
And those beautiful gifts for one and for all
From the evergreen boughs may happily fall!

All
Have a very Merry Christmas
And a Happy Holiday.
I hope that happiness will be with you
In each and every day.

Here Comes Christmas

Here I am again. The close of the year

Brings Old Father Christmas with his good cheer
I'm cheery myself, and cheery I make
All folks who follow advice for my sake.

My advice is the same to all my friends:

Give and forgive, and quickly make amends
For what you do wrong. Let love be the rule.
People, be true at the season of Yule.

Old Father Christmas every one welcomes;

He brings peace and happiness to all homes.
Away with the bad. Have nothing but good.
Do what I tell you. If only you would,
You'd all live at one in true brotherhood.

I always brighten up all hearts. The spell

Of Christmas can all gloomy thoughts dispel.
My friends, right pleased am I to see you here.
How are you all? Pray come again next year.
I hope you've liked the fun we've had to-night;
If so, then now applaud with all your might.

Santa's Lap

I like to visit Santa Claus

When Christmastime is near.
It's fun to climb up on his lap
And whisper in his ear.
He says, "My dear, have you been good?
Have you done what Mother said you should?
Do you brush your teeth and hair each day?
Are you kind to others when you play?
I listen to each question
And answer every one.
Although I am ashamed to say
I must say no to some.
But Santa never scares me;
He doesn't even scold.
He just says, "Try again, my dear,
You're a fine lad, I am told."
Gee, I like to visit Santa Claus
When Christmastime is near.
It's fun to climb up on his lap
And whisper in his ear...
Rudolph song
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it,
you would even say it glows.
All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names.
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
Rudolph with your nose so bright,
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then how the reindeer loved him
and they shouted out with glee:
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!

What is Christmas?

This holliest of all the nights

I wonder what it means?
It's sure more than candlelights
On tinselled evergreens
It's more than toys that make it dear
And eating pleasant things
For if you'll listen right you'll hear
A murmuring of wings

My Grandma says it's more than fun

And hanging in your stocking
It's knowing any needing one
Might be the Saviour knoking
It's helping those who feel the rod
Of grief and heavy labours
I guess it's being nice to god
By loving all your neighbours

A Chrismas Greeting

The Christmas Day brings memories

And kindest thoughts untold
Of friends we may not often see
But hope to always hold
So may this greeting be a link
In friendship precious chain
And may there be a Christmas Day
When we shall meet again.
