History of Internet:-
Internet was developed by U.S Defense Department in
1969/1970.
Ist Name of Internet was ARPANET (Advance Research Project
Agency Network).
IInd Name of internet was NSF net (National Science Foundation
Network)
Final name of internet is INTERNET in year 1972.
Requirement of Internet:-

Answer:- Internet is not a private organization it is number of
group of computer network therefore there is no any person or
organization is owner of internet.
Whenever you connect any network that times that server is
your owner.
Types of network:-
There are two types of network:-
1. Intranet
2. Extranet
Intranet:- Private network of any country.
Extranet:- Private network of number of country.

Web browser:-
It is client software which helps to open any website.
Net surfing:-
To search any website in web browser is known as net
surfing.
Website:-
Collection of web pages is known as website.
Homepage:-
First page of any website is known as homepage.
HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language):-
It is a program which helps to open any website.
Domain:-
Logical grouping of website is known as domain.
There are two types of Domain
Two digits Domain Three digits Domain

.pk= Pakistan .gov= Government
.au= Australia .edu=Educational
.us= America .org= Organizational
D.N.S (Domain Name System):-
It is a system which set path of any domain.

URL (Uniform Resource Locator):-
It is complete address of any website.

Chatting:-
Online messaging service is known as chatting.
Server:-
It is the host computer of computer network.
Client:-
User of any network is known as client.
Downloading:-
To receive data from user to server is known as
downloading.
Uploading:-
To send data from user to server is known as uploading.
E-mail:-
It is an electronic service which helps to send/receive
audio, video, text etc.
Advantage of E-mail:-
Free Service
We can send audio, video, text, image etc.
It store for future use.
Disadvantage of E-mail:-
Computer awareness is required.

It is the speed at which modem can transfer data.

protocol.

It check hardware requirement of internet.
IP (Internet Protocol):-
It checks user identity like ID and Password.
