TECHNICAL PROCEDURE OF FUND LOCATION & EXTRACTION

SWIFT / GPI GLOBAL SERVER INTERFACE

Date: June 1st, 2022

NOTATIONS; “SWIFT”, stands for “Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Communications” &
"GPI" stands for "Global Payments Innovation", and “UETR” means “Unique End to End Transaction
Reference” the most efficient Swift platform to administer cross borders payments, Globally.

SWIFT GPI Codes are: Alpha-Numeric (hexadecimal characters) which is generated by the System
and registered in the MT103/202 Swift Copy Under the “UETR” Column.

1. Sender/Investor sends the Agreement to Receiver/Developer of Fund for reviewing,


whether a DOA = Deed Of Agreement or PFA = Project Finance Agreement format, with
included transfer protocols within.
2. Receiver reviews the Agreement and returns signed/sealed Agreement to Investor if
acceptable, or with changes highlighted accordingly.
3. Both Parties notify their Bank on the duly executed Agreement and lodge it with their
respective Banks, Bank Officer, or Terminal Operators.
4. Investor’s will instruct their Bank to send either MT199 or MT202 to the Receiver’s Bank
to notify their readiness to send the fund via MT103/202 (This is optional but remain the
best way to ensure both Sender’s Bank and Receiver’s Bank ready to perform it’s client
obligation) with Full bank input and acknowledgement.
5. Receiver’s Bank / Officers will immediately respond to the Investor’s Bank it readiness to
accept and receive the fund via MT103/202.
6. Investor’s Bank / Officers transfer the agreed Amount of Funds to Receiving Bank for
Investment purposes from one the agreed “Financial Transfer Protocols” as listed in TYPE
OF INSTRUMENT AVAILABLE and send a SWIFT Client’s Copy to Receiver. For example,
SWIFT 103-202 FTP/STP MANUAL DOWN LOAD, or GPI SYSTEM DOWNLOADS.
7. Receiver/Receiving Bank / Officers will trace the Funds by using TRN & UETR CODE within
the Global Server.
8. Receiver/Receiver’s Bank / Officers will retrieve the Swift MT103 Message via SWIFT NET
– INTERNATIONAL SWIFTACKS GLOBAL SERVER liaising between (Commercial) & (Central
Bank) and submit a reply via MT202 message to Notify its readiness to receive the funds
and request for All of the Relevant Approval Codes to be presented to them for
downloading the fund. Unless otherwise, if the Sender’s Bank / Officer failed to provide
the MT202 with the fund file, or not available, The Receiver’s Bank will send MT202 to
request for MT202 message to be uploaded and notify as aforementioned protocol. Note*
this is always carried out on Terminal Screens and active electronic Chat Rooms.
9. Investor/Investor’s Bank must reply Swift MT202 to the Receiver/Receiver’s Bank /
Officer; or able to establish a Bank Officer To Bank Officer Communication to hand over
the approval code via MT202 or submit Swift MT910 (Advise of Confirmation of Credit).
This is a common requirement in the Banking Industries for both parties (Banks). All
replies to MT202 messages must be sent screenshots from Sender Bank Officer screen
for Receiver Bank Officer to verify on the Live Screen of the SWIFT 100/200 system.
10. Upon receive the reply of the required MT202 with all of the Relevant Approval Codes,
the Receiver/Receiver’s Bank Officer will download and transfer the downloaded funds
into Receiver/Beneficiary Account, if not into the Common Account if the funds required
further relevant approval.
11. The Investor/Investor’s Bank Officer / Terminal Operator shall be available as and when
needed to communicate or coordinate in the download as required by the

Receiver/Receiver’s Bank Officer at any stage of the process, by agreed window time, as
and when necessary.
12. Closing protocol is then activated to place as necessary matching funds / quota and
Settlement.
