Ingredients Save Recipe

● 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar or lemon juice

● 1 tablespoon water

● 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard

● 1/2 cup neutral oil (such as canola)

● 1/4 cup flavored oil (such as extra-virgin olive


oil)

● 1/2 teaspoon salt

● 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in small container or squeeze bottle. Seal container and
shake vigorously until emulsified. Shake again before each use.

When I search for the "Three Great Vinaigrettes" (which is mentioned in this recipe's URL, it
always takes me to this page, which has one recipe. Have the other two vinaigrettes been
deleted? Where are the other two? There is no mention of them. What am I missing? I love this
site and don't want to miss anything.

Thanks for the article Kenji! However, I had a question about a substitute. Could I use sunflower
kernels in place of toasted almonds? I figure both are common on salads and sunflower kernels
contain a decent amount of oils but I'm not quite sure what toasted almonds even taste like (yay,
allergies!)
