Job Title Senior Civil Engineer (LN)

Department/Function Maintenance and Engineering Department (M&E)
Supervision responsibly. N/A
Location: Rumaila Field Based (5/2 daily)
% Travel: N/A
Role and responsibility Candidate shall report to M&E Lead Mechanical Engineer
synopsis and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline
engineering team to support Operations, Maintenance,
Integrity, Projects and Construction.

Candidate’s responsibilities shall include:

✓ Execute various Management of Change (MoC)

operational based work scopes.

✓ Participate in various project design reviews. Working

closely with operations personnel (e.g. Operations and
Maintenance Advisors, Area Engineers, Site
Engineers and HSE personnel) to define key aspects
of civil design and engineering.

✓ Carry out site surveys, preparation of Site Reports,

Scope of Requirements, Scope of Work, Workpacks,
tender documents and specifications for in-house and
third-party engineered modifications.

✓ Review and approve in-house and third-party civil

engineering deliverables.

✓ Provide technical support, as necessary, to all ROO

Departments, including Operations, Maintenance,
Integrity, Projects and Construction on all civil
technical issues arising.

✓ Manpower estimation, work planning and progress

monitoring, to support on-going projects and
modifications.

✓ Supervise and provide technical guidance to Civil

Designers ensuring technical quality of work and
delivery to meet project schedule.

✓ Civil inputs to support ROO Key Performance

Indicators including Safety Verifications, Safety
Observations, Risk Assessments, Incident
Investigations etc.

✓ Support Integrity Management with engineering

solutions for civil and structural repairs and
modifications.

Criteria & Qualifications Skills and Experience:

✓ BSc/HND in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

✓ Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years relevant

experience in civil engineering with 10 years’ experience
oil and gas operations and engineering.

✓ Candidate to demonstrate experience of key engineering

requirements gained from engineering contractor
experience in both greenfield and brownfield
engineering.

✓ Experience in the analysis and design using software

such as STAAD Pro, AutoCad, Navisworks and Mat 3D.

✓ Competent in preparing design calculations for steel and

concrete structure including seismic and wind loading.

✓ Candidate to demonstrate familiarity with all relevant

industry codes, standards, and practices (ACI, AISC,
ASCE, API, AWS, PIP, IBC) for civil and structural
design.
