You have registered to take a TOEFL iBT Test at home. Please be sure that you are ready
to take the test at your scheduled time. You will have up to 12 minutes after your scheduled
test time to begin your check in. If you haven't checked in by that time, your test will be
canceled and your fee will not be refunded.

It is your responsibility to read and understand the equipment requirements, ID

requirements, and the reschedule and cancel policy for this type of appointment. You
should plan to test your equipment before your scheduled appointment. More information
can be found on the Home Edition website.

Policies and Resources

Identification

It is your responsibility to read and understand the Identification (ID) requirements for your
test. If you arrive at your test without the required ID, you will not be admitted, and
your test fee will not be refunded.

A valid ID document with your name, signature and photograph is required. The name that
appears on the ID you present for your test must exactly match the name you used when
you registered.

ID requirements can vary depending on where you plan to test and your citizenship. View
all requirements, including those specific to your testing location, on the ID Requirements
page and in the TOEFL iBT Information Bulletin.

If you are not able to meet the ID requirements, please contact the ETS Office of Testing
 Integrity (OTI) as soon as possible by email at TSReturns@ets.org, or by phone at +1-
609-406-5430 (Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, except U.S.
holidays).

Note: ETS is temporarily accepting government-issued IDs with expiration dates from
October 10, 2023 forward. All other ID policies still apply.

Reschedule/Cancel a Test

If you need to reschedule or cancel your test, you must do so at least 4 full days before
your test date. For example, if your test is on Sunday, you must reschedule or cancel by
Wednesday. You can reschedule or cancel your test from your ETS account or by phone.

Retake the Test

You can retake the test as many times as you wish, but you cannot take it more than once
in a 3-day period. If you already have a test appointment, you cannot register for another
test date that is within 3 days of your existing appointment.

Test Prep

ETS offers a variety of practice materials to help you prepare for the TOEFL iBT test and
build your English skills. Materials include free sample questions, practice tests, interactive
skill-building programs, and detailed tips and information for understanding more about the
test.

Sending Scores

Your test fee includes up to 4 free official score reports to be sent to institutions that you
select before you take the test. Score report recipients can be added, changed or deleted
through your ETS account until 10 p.m. (local test appointment time) on the day before your
test. To learn more about how to send your most recent scores, all scores, or any scores
within your reportable history, visit https://www.ets.org/toefl/ibt/scores/send/.
