from 0 to 9 (both inclusive)
C. Marking Scheme
7. For each question in Section – 1, you will be 4 marks if you darken only the bubble(s) corresponding to all
the correct option(s) is(are) darkened.
Partial Marks : +1 For darkening a bubble corresponding to each correct option, provided NO
incorrect option is darkened.
Zero Marks : 0 If none of the bubbles is darkened.
Negative Marks : –2 In all other cases.

HINTS AND SOLUTION

PHYSICS (PART-I)
SECTION – 1
1. B, C, D
When the loop is drawn into the magnetic field, the area of the portion loop in the magnetic field
will increase. That means, the flux linkage increases. Therefore a (vortex) emf is induced in the
loop so as to oppose the change, that is to say to oppose the increase in magnetic flux in the
loop. Therefore, the current will have to induce in anti-clockwise direction to induce an opposing
magnetic field, that is pointing outward of the page. After the complete entry of the loop into the
magnetic field, no variation of flux occurs. Therefore it induces no current so long as the loop. Is
completely inside the magnetic field. When it emerges out of the magnetic field, following the
previous argument, the direction of induced current in it will be reversed (clockwise)

2. B, D
The changing magnetic field inside the plane produces electric lines of
forces in anticlockwise direction.
There is no direct connection in the shown conductors, so electrons,
experiencing electric force, try to accumulate as shown.
All electrons accumulate at Q symmetrically
VP = V R
