Role: L3 Network Engineer

Work Timings: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Malaysia Time

Workdays: 5 days

Location: Malaysia

Experience: 4+ years

Language Requirements: Mandarin – Spoken & Written (Mandatory) & English

Responsibilities:

 Address user tickets regarding network related issues

 Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks
(WAN)
 Maintain and administer networks and related computing environments
 Install and troubleshoot active and passive networks
 Setup of the leased lines, SD-WAN’s and configuring load balancer
 Configure, troubleshoot of NAT and PAT
 Configure and troubleshoot traffic shaping and optimization
 Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Static and Dynamic Routing by using RIP, OSPF,
IGRP and EIGRP protocols
 Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switches.
 Create, span, and configure VLAN and inter VLAN routing.
 Configure, manage, and troubleshoot of Wireless Access Points (Aruba, Meraki etc.,)
 Troubleshoot network and wireless connectivity of corporate users.
 Perform network monitoring, performance optimization and troubleshooting.
 Work with various network and performance monitoring tools
 Configuring and managing Access lists
 Monitor infrastructure remotely.
 Ensure the assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested and
operational.

  Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a
timely manner with the required level of detail.
 Leverage knowledge articles to investigate and resolve second line support calls assigned
 Provide remote support to clients.
 Identify the root cause of incidents and problems. Prepare RCA for business-critical
incidents and downtime
 Use ITSM postmortem template to update postmortem notes after ticket resolution
 Participate in daily performance huddles, identify causes of performance shortcomings,
and provide suggestions for improvement
 Perform the role of operations specialist during shift to monitor SLA/ OLA and ensure all
measures are taken to avoid breaches
 Develop detail work instructions for L1 Engineers to follow and complete requests,
process events and resolve incidents
 Review the recurring or high impact incidents and manage them through problem
management process

Skills:

 5+ years of experience in networking

 Hands-on experience in configuring and managing switching.
 Knowledge of Firewall operations and functionalities.
 Knowledge of both active and passive networking
 Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
 Clear understanding of access rules, NAT rules, policies in firewalls
 Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
 Clear understanding of IP Addressing, Subnet and Supernet concepts
 Network Plus, CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, ITIL Certification Desirable
