Subject: Exit row briefing-Standardization.

Reference to DGCA CAR Section 8 Series O Part VIII Issue 1 dated

16-Aug-2017 Exit row briefing now stands restructured and
standardized. This SEPC is hereby issued to the Cabin crew for the
purpose of briefing the passengers seated at the “Exit Row Seats”.

General Guidelines
1. The crew shall ensure each emergency exit row is occupied
by at least one (1) passenger. In case no passenger has
been allocated the exit row, the crew shall relocate
passengers (in accordance with above CAR)
2. The Crew shall start briefing the passengers as soon as all
the emergency exit row seats are occupied, or boarding is
completed (whichever is earlier)
3. The crew shall stand straight and confidently while making
an eye contact with all the passenger(s)
4. The crew shall be loud and clear enough for the passengers
in the vicinity to hear as this will enhance the safety
awareness
Aircraft Specific Guidelines

The crew member shall stand at a location where they can ensure
a positive eye contact with all the passengers seated on the
emergency exit row

Exit row /Over wing exit Briefings: A320 Family

A319/A320 A/C (Over wing Exits)

You are seated at an emergency exit. In case of an emergency, you
will be required to operate this exit. Are you willing to operate? (If
he/ She says "YES", continue briefing, otherwise, relocate the
passenger).
Please go through the Safety Instruction Card. Open this exit only
in an emergency once evacuation command is given and external
conditions are safe.

To open the exit

Pull and discard the Over wing exit cover.
Pull down the exit hatch handle.
Remove the hatch and throw outside the aircraft.
Exit hatch weighs approximately 15kgs
Pull the red handle located here (point to the location of red manual
inflation handle)
And leave the aircraft.

aapatkaalein stithi mein evacuation command milne par, bahar ki
suraksha jaanch karne ke baad he kholein.

Nikas ko kholne ke liye

Over wing exit cover ko kheechein aur nikaal dein.
Exit hatch handle ko kheechein.
Hatch ko nikaal ke bahar ki or phek dein.
Exit hatch ka vajan lagbhag 15 Kg hai.
Aur yahan lage laal handle ko kheechein (point to the location of
red manual inflation handle)
Aur vimaan se bahar jayein.
Adhik jaankari ke liye, Kripya hamse sampark karein.

Hold Door Frame Assist Handle
Lift the Door Handle to “Open” and release handle immediately
