Thursday : Checking of (Pupils will put their hands on top

Direction: Read the following sentences. Identify the meaning of the underlined
word in each sentence.

CHECKING OF ASSIGNMENT
d) LESSON PROPER
1. MOTIVATION
The teacher will post a conversation. The pupils will be asked to pair up to enact the
conversation with correct expressions.
(After the activity, the pupils will be asked why they need to clearly read sentences with proper
expressions.)
Guide questions:
What did you notice in that conversation?
What are the purpose of each sentence (for example, asking a question, or telling
someone to do something)?
Why do we need to use punctuation marks?
Are they essential to form a sentence?
What do you think is our lesson for today?
2. ACTIVITY
The students will be divided in to four; each group will be given pieces of paper with words
written on them. They will be asked to arrange the words in order to make a sentence.
4. ABSTRACTION
5. APPLICATION:
The class will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will be given materials needed for the
activity.
Instruction:
1. Each group will be given same pictures at the same time. They will have to form
different types of sentences according to function in just 1 minute.
2. Each group will present their work in front to check if the sentences are
grammatically correct, properly punctuated, and written properly.
3. Each correct sentence will be equivalent to 1 point.
4. The group with the most number of points after 5 round will win the game.

f) EVALUATION
Directions: Add the correct ending punctuation. Then write whether the sentence is
declarative, imperative, interrogative, or exclamatory.

IV. ASSIGNMENT
Write a short narrative about your most unforgettable experience. Use at least 4
declarative, 4 imperative, 4 exclamatory and 4 interrogative sentences.
