Aquatic Complex, Velodrome, Hockey Stadium, Shooting Range, Internal Drainage
System, Roadwork and other allied works.

As Field Engineer I was responsible for supervision & close follow up of day to day activities of
the project like piling, pile cap, other reinforced structural members etc. including stage
inspection & measurement of completed works at site, updating daily records for checking
contractor’s bills and recommending release of payment/claim accordingly. (The type of Piling
was cast-in-situ driven pile of around 700 Nos. of Φ500mm having average depth of 17M)
Responsibility also included review of Contractor’s work schedule, man and plant/equipment
deployment schedule, coordinating the Team Leader in compiling monthly progress report and
variation order, escalation and claim. Also, witnessed in testing of different kind of construction
materials at laboratory for approval for using in the project.

c) Shillong Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project, Shillong, Govt. of

India & Govt. of Australia [An AUS-AID funded project] (Aug-05 to Nov-05)

The project comprised of water supply, improvement of drainage &sanitation system,

rainwater harvesting system, sullage treatment system combined with separate storm
water and sewage network system, health treatment system in different parts of
Shillong for different communities as well as community development activities - like
health education, community awareness camps for the people, preparation of reports,
master plans for the sanitation and drainage conditions of the city.

As Field Engineer I was responsible for estimating, monitoring/coordinating and implementing

different types of Small Grant Schemes and Demonstration.

d) Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development Project Package -2 (ADB Loan

No.1415-IND) in three townships of Tumkur, Ramnagaram and Channapatna in the
state of Karnataka (Nov-99 to Jun-04)

The project comprised of construction of water treatment plant, bridge over river
Arkavati, water supply & sewer line network, sewerage treatment plant, Bangalore-
Mysore Road, town roads, storm water drainage, water supply and sewerage
connection to House, OHT, GLSR, pumping station, staff quarters, raising main, slum
improvement and development of solid waste dumping site.

As Field Engineer I was responsible for supervision & close follow up of day to day activities of
the project including stage inspection & measurement of completed works at site, updating daily
records for checking contractor’s bills and recommending release of payment/claim accordingly.
Responsibility also included review of Contractor’s work schedule, man and plant/equipment
deployment schedule, coordinating the Team Leader in compiling monthly progress report and
variation order, escalation and claim. Also, witnessed in testing of different kind of construction
materials at laboratory for approval for using in the project.

e) Augmentation of Dry Dock no.1 from Building Dock to Building cum repair Dock at
GRSE Main Complex at Garden Reach (GRSE), Calcutta. (April-98 to October-99)

 The project comprises of construction of Knuckle-deck-on pile structure, adjacent the
western side entrance of the dry dock, installation of flap gate, construction of flap
gate supporting civil structure, modification of dock dewatering system, modification
of 40/10 ton Goliath Crane, general repair work and allied works.

As Junior Engineer I was responsible for day-to-day supervision of piling work of cast-in-situ
bore piles having 1m dia. DMC method, various RCC work over pile foundation, review of
Contractor’s work schedule, man and plant/equipment deployment schedule, including stage
inspection & measurement of completed works at site, updating daily records for checking
contractor’s bills and recommending release of payment/claim accordingly.
