SECTION-A (2*6=12)

Q1. Find two rational number between 2/9 and 3/8.

Q2. If the points (3,4) lies on graph of equation 3y = ax + 7 , find value of a.

Q3. (i) In which Quadrant does the point (-8 , 4 ) lie?

(ii) write coordinate of point whose ordinate is 3 and which lies on y-axis.

Q4. If an angle is 30° more than one half of its complement, find the
measure of the angle?

Q5. Find median of the first 8 prime numbers.

Q6. Compute the value of x in each of the following figures:

SECTION-B (3*6=18)
Do any six

Q7. Draw the graph of linear equations x-2y= 1 and 2x+y= 7 on same graph paper and find their common
point.

Q8. ΔOAB is an isosceles triangle lies in Ist quadrant where O is origin and B lies on x-axis with sides OA=
AB= 13 units and OB= 10 units. Find the coordinate of the vertices.

Q9. In figure, if AB || CD and CD || EF, find ∠ACE.

Q10. The mean of the following data is 20.6. Find the value of p.

X 10 15 p 25 35
f 3 10 25 7 5

Q11. ∆ABC is an isosceles triangle in which AB = AC. Side BA is

produced to D such that AD = AB. Show that ∠BCD is a right angle.

Q12. (i) If the difference of the mode and median of a data is 24, then
find the difference of the median and mean.
(ii) Find Range of data: 25, 67, 45, 24, 30, 56, 86, 31, 43

Q13. BD and CE are bisectors of ∠ B and ∠ C of an isosceles Δ ABC

with AB = AC. Prove that BD = CE.
SECTION-C (5*5=25)

Q14. The distribution of heights (in cm) of 96 children is given below. Construct a histogram and a frequency
polygon on the same axes.

Q15. If PQ ⊥ PS, PQ || SR, ∠SQR = 28° and ∠QRT = 65°, then find the
values of x and y.

Q16. State and prove ASA Congruence Rule.

Q17. Plot the point P (-2 , 3 ) on the graph paper. Plot the reflection of point P in the x-axis and y-axis and
denote them as Q and R respectively. Name the triangle PQR so formed and find its area.
