A letter

Dear David,

Thanks very much for your last letter. I hope you are both well. I am thoroughly enjoying my new job.
The person who’s position I’ve taken, resigned last month. I can understand why, because there’s a lot of
work to do. I am writing to ask you a favor. Could you get me some information’s on trade unions? I had
to give a lecture last week and I couldn’t find enough details. I should have asked you earlier but you
know how it is. Since I last saw you, nothing much has happened. I’ve been working hard for a month,
and I’ve had so little spare time. I saw Pete last week; you know of course that he is married. In fact, he’s
been married for over a year. He always use to say, marriage is a great institution but who wants to live
in an institution. Look at him now, there’s no more news so I will say good bye. Looking forward to
hearing from you soon.
