ABBA was formed in 1972 in Stockholm, by Agnetha Fältskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny

Anderson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, mostly known as Frida.

For me, ABBA has a special place because it's one of those bands where you can
connect to their songs, lyrics, and amazing genuine feeling when they sing them!
Their band took off when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, With the song
"Waterloo".
Bjorn and Agnetha were already married before the group were even formed, while
Benny and Frida only got married in 1978.
Their records had a commercial impact, due to the group being the most successful
one of their record Universal Music Group and being the band that sold the most discs
in the 70s.
When both the couples got divorced, the songs just got way more intense and had a
deeper meaning, such as the song "The winner takes it all".
The excitement of the moment didn't stay for too long and the next song "Honey,
Honey" didn't do too well. It was only when they released the song "SOS" that they
had shown their first signs that they were meant for success. But the biggest success
would come in 1975, with the song "Mamma Mia", which was later included in the
Arrival in 1976.
The ABBA logo was created in 1976.
With the release of this new album, came the songs "Money, Money, Money",
"Knowing Me, Knowing You" and their biggest hit "Dancing Queen".
Since then, they also have released some incredible songs such as: "The Name Of The
Game"; “Fernando”; “I Have A Dream”; "Take A Chance On Me"; "Thank You For The
Music"; "Voulez-Vouz"; "Chiquitita”; "Does Your Mother Know "; "Gimme! Gimme!
Gimme!"; "Lay All Your Love On Me”; “My Love My Life”; "One Of Us"; "The Day Before
You Came"; "Our Last Summer" and some of my personal favorites: "Super Trouper";
“King Has Lost His Crown”; “Slipping Through My Fingers” "Head Over Heels" and
"Under Attack".
During their whole career, they released 9 albums:
 Ring Ring (1973)
 Waterloo (1974)
 ABBA (1975)
 Arrival (1976)
 The Album (1977)
 Voulez-Vous (1979)
 Super Trouper (1980)
 The Visitors (1981)
 Voyage (2021)

Most recently they have built the ABBA Stadium, which has holographic concerts every
week in London.
In 2008 they made a musical, named “Mamma Mia” based on some of their songs.
In 2018 they made a sequel to the musical named “Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!”
with some other songs.
It is expected to the third movie to be released next year or so.
