Challenges to

GL O B A L I Z A T I O N
BY JOSHUA ESCORIAL

The term "globalization" refers to the increasing interdependence of the

economies, cultures, and populations throughout the world as a result
of technology, cross-border trade in goods and services, and flows of
capital, labor, and information. Globalization might have its positive
effects, but we cannot deny that there will be challenges that comes
with it. These challenges will be discussed within this infographic as why
it happens or how does it happen.

REDUCTION OF
1 PROTECTIONISM

Protectionism is the practice of defending domestic

industries from foreign competition by the use of tariffs,
subsidies, import quotas, and other barriers to their
products. Even while almost all mainstream economists
concur that free trade generally benefits the global
economy, numerous nations have pursued protectionist
policies. Protectionist policies should be reduced, but only

fairly.

INEQUALITY OF
POWER
Inequality of power, such as when there are few or no
trade unions, encourages tremendous corporate abuse.
This can lead to more third-world country to be
overcome by richer countries. As other country becomes
richer, upgrading armors and defense, they woul want to
expand heir power and take advantage of poorer
countries.

3 GAP BETWEEN
RICH AND POOR
The wealth disparity in the globe is still very wide. 40% of the world's
population, or the bottom 2.5 billion people, survive on less than $2 a day and
receive only 5% of global revenue. Economic globalization harms civilizations,
ruins the environment, and marginalizes the poor. The people supports a tax
of one US cent on lengthy emails to raise $70 billion a year that could be used
to connect the world's Internet-unconnected people, though it is short on
specific proposals for making global markets work "for people rather than
profits." It also supports a task force to review "global governance" and
faster debt relief, as have previous versions.

POVERTY 5
Still, far too many individuals pass away from lack of
resources. A more equitable trading system and aid are
essential. We'll see that it can be of great assistance to
underdeveloped nations. It might help them begin climbing the
ladder of advancement. The wealthier nations are likewise
seeing enormous upheaval.

6 BRAIN DRAIN

People are better able to appreciate what the world has to

offer thanks to globalization. Insofar as people go to and
settle where they see fit, it enables brain drain. But another
aspect is the absence of facilities in the nation of origin that
are appropriate for the individual.
