Essay, 260 words

Surely, there are various researches the governments should invest on. Among those there is,
evidently, space exploration.

We, as humans, are curious creatures and need to explore; indeed, travelling in the unknown
space, we could possibly locate new planets to probe and colonize or even detect serious threats
to our earth.
It also provides a faster increase of our technological progress and an unique occasion for
scientists form all over the world to work together, to achieve a collective purpose.

On the other hand, space travelling is quite costly, with the governments being the only ones who
hold the resources to bear these costs.
It, as well, can be perilous for the astronauts who travel on the spaceships, aside from creating a
significant amount of air pollution both in the creation and the departure of the space vessels.

One more field of research on which governments should credit is green energy.
Green energy not only furnishes a cheaper form of electricity and lowers reliance on external
energy sources, creating new jobs that aim to reduce the use of carbon.
Renwable energy also has a positive impact on the natural environment, which means that,
besides decreasing respiratory and cardiac health issues, it leands to clearer water and air, giving
us and other creatures on Earth a safe place to live in.

Despite this, green energy, just like space exploration has an higher capital cost, not being
affordable by anyone.
Moreover, it can be unreliable due to geographic limitations, indeed there are some geographies
that are more suitable for renewable technologies than others.
