I. From the quotations given, which one do you like best? Explain its meaning.

1. Out of all the given music quotations, my personal favorite is "Music is well said to
be the speech of angels" by Caryle. For me, this quote encapsulates the power of
music to transcend human limitations and connect us to something greater than
ourselves. It suggests that music is not just a human invention, but rather a divine
expression that has the ability to touch our souls in profound ways. To me, this
quote also emphasizes the universality of music. Just as angels are a symbol of a
higher power that transcends human experience, music can reach across cultural,
linguistic, and other barriers to touch people from all walks of life. It reminds us that
no matter our differences, we all have the capacity to be moved and inspired by
music. I find this quote to be a beautiful and poetic way of expressing the
transformative power of music. It speaks to the deep emotional and spiritual
connections that music can foster, and reminds us of the profound impact it can
have on our lives.

II: Make your own statement/quotation or give your own feeling about music.

As a teenager, I can confidently say that music is not just a form of

entertainment, but a way of life. It's like a magical potion that can instantly uplift my
mood, help me express my emotions, and transport me to another world. Music has the
power to make me feel understood, even when I feel like nobody else does. When I'm
feeling sad or anxious, I turn to my favorite songs and they somehow manage to make
everything feel better. It's like the artists who created those songs somehow knew
exactly what I was going through and put it into words and melodies.

But music is not just about the lyrics and the melody. It's about the feelings and
memories that are attached to them. Every time I hear a certain song, I am reminded of
a specific moment in my life. It's like the music is a time capsule that transports me back
to that moment, and I can relive the feelings and emotions that I felt at that time.

Music also has the power to bring people together. When I'm at a concert or a music
festival, I feel like I'm part of a community of people who all love the same thing. We
might come from different backgrounds and have different beliefs, but in that moment
we are all connected by the music.
In short, music is not just a sound that enters my ears, but a force that permeates
my entire being. It's a constant companion that helps me navigate the ups and downs of
life, and I am grateful for its presence in my life.

Hypotheses The following null hypotheses are formulated:

There is no significant relationship between the profile of parent volunteers and the reading
performance of the learners.

There is no significant relationship between the teaching effectiveness and the reading performance of
the learners.

Ethical Considerations

The study will adhere to ethical standards in research. Informed consent will be obtained from the
parent volunteers and the primary learners who will participate in the study. The respondents' identities
will be kept confidential, and the data gathered will be used solely for the purpose of the study.

Conclusion

The Brigada Pagbasa Program of the Department of Education is a significant effort in improving the
reading proficiency of primary learners in the Philippines. Parent volunteers play a vital role in the
success of the program by providing support and instruction to primary learners.

This study aims to explore the teaching effectiveness of parent volunteers and its relationship to the
reading performance of primary learners in the Brigada Pagbasa Program of the Ondok Gawan
Elementary School. The study focused on four themes: DepEd's Brigada Pagbasa Program, parent
volunteers teaching reading to children, teaching effectiveness of parent volunteers, and reading
performance of primary learners.

Through the review of related literature, it was found that the DepEd's Brigada Pagbasa Program is a
comprehensive and multifaceted approach to improving the reading proficiency of primary learners.
Parent volunteers play a critical role in the success of the program, and their teaching effectiveness can
be influenced by several factors, including training, confidence, experience, understanding of the
curriculum, and ability to adapt to individual student
