    How old is she?


    She is forty-two years old. Do you have any children?
    Yes, I have two daughters.

    Could you tell me how old they are?


    Yes they are twenty one and fifteen
    years old.

    We use some and any with uncountable nouns and plural nouns. The general rule
    is that you use “some” in positive sentences and “any” in negative sentences and
    questions. “I have some ideas.” “I don't have any ideas.”

    is used to describe habits, unchanging situations, general truths, and fixed
    arrangements.
