effort to promote fair dealing, the disclosure of
important market information, and to prevent fraud.

DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE (DOJ)

o Serves as the government's prosecution arm and


administers the government's criminal justice system by
investigating crimes, prosecuting offenders and
overseeing the correctional system.
o Its mission is to establish and maintain a just and
orderly society through an effective, speedy and
compassionate administration of justice.
