You are working in an Air travel organization like a Travel agency or a


Background Tour Operating company as a counter staff.

Question. 1. A customer walks-in: he/she wants to go out on a tour with family. Plan the trip
according to the passenger’s necessities:
A) You are required to write about any 2 countries, travelling to two respective cities
in each of them. The choice of Countries/cities should have some history and tourist
attractions.
*Note: Minimum 2 and maximum 6 destinations in each city. (PASS)

B) Each country has its own travel set of laws: be explicit in explaining how to
reach that country along with the customs, currency, and the airport tax
regulation policy (if required). (PASS)
C)Prepare itinerary for the client. Itinerary prepared for the client should have
Day to Day itinerary for the passenger with a return journey planned from the
home country. (PASS)

Answer: Country 01:- INDIA - India is a beautiful land with a variety of


wildlife and rich cultural diversity. The Bengal Tiger is considered the national
animal of India. India celebrates its Independence Day on 15th August every
year.It is observed to commemorate the freedom of India from the British. The
tri-coloured national flag is called Tiranga, designed with saffron, white and
green with the Ashok Chakra in navy blue at the centre of the flag. ‘Lion Capital
of Ashoka’ is the country’s national emblem. The national motto is ‘Satyameva
Jayate,’ which means truth alone wins.In order to run the country smoothly, and
make it an independent country, there was a need for a constitution which came
into force on 26th January 1950. We celebrate this day as Republic Day every
year.India is a land of many different languages and many different religions such
as Buddhism, Jainism, Islam, Hinduism, etc. There are various food styles and
dressing styles depending on the regions of the country, setting the perfect
example of Unity in Diversity.
CITY #1:- DELHI - Delhi has 2parts called Old Delhi and New Delhi.Delhi is of
great historical significance as an important commercial, transport, and cultural
hub, as well as the political centre of India.However, very few people know that
it’s also called the ‘City of Djinns‘and Delhi is also called “Mini India” because
people from all over India come and live in Delhi, and practice their own culture,
language and festivals.Over the years, Delhi has seen many architectural
wonders such as Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Isa Khan's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Lutyens
Delhi and so many others. Exploring, discovering all of these tourist attractions
make Delhi a very amazing tourist attraction to explore.Chole Bhature is a
famous dish of Delhi. It contains spicy and tangy chana masala served with an all-
purpose flour deep-fried bread known as bhature or puri.Shopping in Chandni
Chowk brings a flashback of Delhi's rich cultural and historical heritage. It is the
best place in Delhi for clothes, especially wedding clothes.
“Delhi is considered the food capital of India. People of Delhi are very fond of
both eating and feeding. All types of foods are available in Delhi, including South
Indian, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali,” Kejriwal said. “Food from all over the world is
available in Delhi.

CITY#2:- RAJASTHAN- Rajasthan which is also known as the “Land of


Maharajas” is the largest state of India and its largest city is Jaipur, which is also
its capital.It is a land of wonderful palaces, forts, museums and festivals.Famous
food of Rajasthan is daal baati churma, bajre ki roti lassi etc.The traditional dress
of Rajasthan is Chaniya Choli with Dupatta for women and Angrakha and Dhoti
Pyjama for men.Rajasthan is famous for textiles, semi-precious stones,
handicrafts and its traditional and colourful art.Gangaur is one of the most
important festivals in Rajasthan. In some form or the other, it is celebrated all
over Rajasthan. “Gan” is a synonym for Lord Shiva & “Gauri” or “Gaur” stands for
Goddess Parvati, the heavenly consort of Lord Shiva.The vibrant state of
Rajasthan proudly houses the largest desert of India, which is the Thar Desert,
also known as The Great Indian Desert. Not just this, the desert is also the
world's 17th largest desert and 9th largest subtropical desert.Folk music is a big
part of Rajasthani culture and also Ghoomar dance of Rajasthan state has got
international recognition. Puppet dance, Bhopa dance, Chang dance, Teratali
dance, Gair dance and Kutchi Ghodi dance are the famous dances of
Rajasthan.Rajasthan state is one of the important tourist places of India. Various
places of Rajasthan have been the center of special attraction for tourists for
many years. There are many wonderful forts and palaces here. Every year
thousands of tourists come to visit Rajasthan state. Name of some
important/famous tourist places of Rajasthan state:- Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal,
Chandra Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, City Palace, Rambagh
Palace etc.
COUNTRY 02:- UAE - The United Arab Emirates is a country in West
Asia.The UAE is known for its Grand Mosques, The Dubai Mall, oil, a lot of sand,
oil, oases, date palms, sand, dune bashing, falconry, pearl hunting, robot jockey
camel racing, and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.The UAE is a beautiful country, with
stunning beaches, lush mountains, and ancient ruins. It is also a modern country,
with world-class infrastructure and a vibrant economy.The Official Language of
the UAE Is Arabic.

CITY#1:- ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
it is famous for its stunning islands and record-breaking theme parks such as
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi. Other popular locations
include the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the more recent addition,
Louvre Abu Dhabi.its luxurious shopping centers, stunning architecture, and
cultural landmarks such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.Abu Dhabi's culture
is rooted in the region's Islamic traditions and its foremost message of peace. A
mix of international influences paired with loyalty to local heritage has resulted
in a welcoming capital city that boasts a charming mix of new and old.initiatives
focused on technologies that include AI and the Internet of Things, and the
development of smart city initiatives across society, services and the economy.

CITY#2:- DUBAI - Dubai is famous for wealth, being expensive,


and being a popular luxury travel destination, but Dubai is also famous for
its souks, the Dubai Creek, some history and culture, camel riding, dune
bashing and worker exploitation.Dubai is surrounded by the glittering waters of
the Gulf, which helps give the city those immense skies and incredible sense of light. Water is
also a key means of transport whether that's setting sail along the coast or traversing Dubai
Creek on a traditional wooden abra.With stunning architecture, fancy hotels, shopping festivals,
majestic skyscrapers, glittering skylines, and giant shopping malls, Dubai is truly a paradise for
scores of tourists from around the world. Known to be one of the most progressive regions in
the Middle East region, Dubai has undergone a huge transformation.Dubai is a global business
and cultural hub with a diverse and dynamic workforce. The city offers a unique opportunity to
work with professionals from different backgrounds and cultures, which I believe will be
extremely valuable for my personal and professional growth.Harees is one of the most famous
dishes in Dubai. It can often be found on many an Emirati dinner table, as well as on the menus
in some of Dubai's finest restaurants.Dubai is a tax-free nation when it comes to imposing
income tax on most of its citizens.

 IATA
Answer- IATA was founded in Havana, Cuba, on 19 April 1945.The International Air
Transport Association (IATA) is the global trade association for the world's airlines. Its
mission is to lead and serve its members, as well as to represent their interests in a way
that boosts the airport transport industry.

 UFTAA
Answer- Universal Federation of Travel Agents 'Associations (UFTAA) was formed on
November 22nd 1966 in Rome.UFTAA seeks to encourage travel among people of all
nations and to support the freedom of travel throughout the world.

 PATA
Answer- Founded in 1951, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a not-for profit
association that is internationally acclaimed for acting as a catalyst for the responsible
development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region.

 ICAO
Answer- The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) creates regulations for
aviation safety, security, efficiency and regularity and environmental protection. The
organization also regulates operating practices and procedures covering the technical
field of aviation.

 Warsaw Convention
Answer- The Convention for the Unification of certain rules relating to international
carriage by air, commonly known as the Warsaw Convention, is an international
convention which regulates liability for international carriage of persons, luggage, or
goods performed by aircraft for reward.

 Montreal Convention
Answer- The Montreal Convention establishes airline liability in the case of death or
injury to passengers, as well as in cases of delay, damage or loss of baggage and cargo. It
unifies all of the different international treaty regimes covering airline liability that had
developed haphazardly since 1929.

 Chicago Convention
Answer- The Chicago Convention (also known as the Convention on International Civil
Aviation), established the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), a specialized agency
of the United Nations charged with coordinating and regulating international air travel.

B) The client is probing to find how knowledgeable you are in the Travel Industry, to see if you
are qualified enough to prepare this package for him. So he has put forward a new question for

 “Can you please explain ‘the freedoms of the air’ with regard to my package? Which
freedoms are applicable to my route, using the route and airlines that you have chosen
for my tour package?

*Note – Please explain the different freedoms of the air and then present the applicable
freedoms which are achieved in the package

Answer- FREEDOM OF AIR:-

 FIRST FREEDOM - The right of an airline to fly over the territory of another country
without landing.
 SECOND FREEDOM - The right of an airline to land in the territory of another country for
non-traffic purpose for instance crew change,refuling or any technical issues.
 THIRD FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo from the origin to
destination.
 FOURTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo from
destination back to origin.
 FIFTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to embark passanger from an intermediate
point which initially started from the origin and disembark them to another foreign
nation.
 SIXTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo from one foreign
country to another foreign country via the home country.
 SEVENTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo between two
foreign countries.
 EIGHTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo from the origin
to destination and further to a domestic point in the destination country.
 NINTH FREEDOM - The right of an airline to carry passanger and cargo between two
domestic points in a foreign country.

Question3. Why do you think your package is of good quality? Can you please elaborate?
Can you compare your package with a similar package of any other tour operator and tell the
client of the advantages of your package.
