Reflection

It’s the first day of our final shift performing geriatric nursing duties. As we now need to wake up
quite early in the morning to do our preparations and be prepared for duty, our new schedule is
really frustrating. I don’t even go to bed early, but this time I have to because of the altered
schedule. I was quite exhausted and drowsy today, but it’s okay because we have our job scheduled for
the Post Valentine’s Day celebration. I am aware that when I chose nursing as my line of study, I signed
up for this kind of tiredness. While it is exhausting, it is also rewarding and uplifting to know that someone
is greatly helped by your assistance. Actually, I just woke up from a nap and is writing this reflection half
asleep and hungry.
