The maps illustrate the changes occurred in Grange Park between 1920 and today.

In 1920, the park had two entrances: the entrance at north was on Arnold Avenue and the entrance at north was on
Elden Street. In the center of this park there was a fountain, and to the west of the fountain there was a stage for
musicians. There were rose gardens at all corners inside the park except for the corner at southwest. Instead, a
glasshouse was located in this corner. In the northwest of the park there was a pond for water plants. Many seats
were placed in the periphery of the park for visitors to rest.

Over the 103-year period, the park has experienced a number of dramatic changes: the most noticeable was that the
fountain was demolished to make space for a big rose garden with seats around it. The stage has been expanded
and adapted to an amphitheater to hold concerts. The pond has been replaced by a children’s play area and the
glasshouse has been substituted by a water feature.
