How to run personal channel on TikTok and Facebook

I. TikTok

1. Register TikTok account

- Register a new account is highly recommended. Do not use existing TikTok

account.

Reason: If we use an existing TikTok account, there are two risk as below:

+ This channel already classify to some specific category, have no relevance to the
new channel.

Example: SPER EDU channel was reviewed and classified as an education category.
When we upload a video of talent girls, we cannot get high engagement as before.

+ This channel was marked as hidden channel, any video uploaded will be
automatically restricted to distribution.

There are many reasons why TikTok Vietnam mark some channel as hidden: re-
upload video from other channel or has offensive content, sexually explicit content.

2. Time to upload video

- TikTok Vietnam recommend upload video at 8-10AM, 4PM and 8-10PM.

- Base on my own experience, best time to upload is 9AM, 4PM and 8PM.

3. Video length

- In order to get highest engagement, video length must be more than 15s.

- Video length under 10s will be restricted to distribution (announced by TikTok

Vietnam).

4. Important things need to know in order to get high engagement:

4.1 Background Music: after upload any video, we should pay attention to
notification from TikTok. If we got notification as below, we should change the
background music and re-upload the video. Sometimes, it take 3-10 days to get
this notification after video was uploaded:
4.2 When I upload Xiao Ling video series, I realized that any video Xiao Ling
wearing short skirt or shorts -> that video will be review by TikTok AI and take
longer time to appear on our channel. Those video also got low engagement
although Xiao Ling was so sexy and attractive.

4.3 TikTok Vietnam does not allow video contain brand logo or brand words. Such
as Apple Logo and “Apple” does not allow to appear in the video.

The more brand appear in the video, the more restriction will be apply to this video
and got low engagement.

4.4 TikTok Vietnam does not allow video contain personal information: such as QR
code, social channel link, web link, phone number…

4.5 Video was created by TikTok mobile application, using their effect will be
distributed to more user.

4.6 Video that join the TikTok Vietnam challenge will be distributed to more user.
These challenge is show on Discover tab in TikTok mobile application and update
weekly by TikTok Vietnam team.

II. Facebook

One of disadvantage on Facebook platform is low distribution. When we have a

good content, such as a good video, that video will be distribute to:

+ Our fan/ follower/ friends

+ And one more level is: friends of our fan/ follower/ friends

TikTok is different, a good video can distribute to a user who don’t have any
connection with our channel.

1. Facebook Profile

We have to make friend as much as possible (5000 friends) and increase follower.

Disadvantage: Not everyone - who I send friend request – agree to make friend
with Xiao Ling.

Good time to post content: in the evening, from 5PM to 7PM

2. Facebook Fanpage

We need to spent money if we want our content to be distributed to our audience.
