Children in Need
On behalf of our School Council we would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to our bake
sale last Friday. It really was a sight to behold – and the children loved it! As a result we raised £310 for
Children in Need. What a fantastic effort from our school community. Thank you all for supporting this
event and this wonderful charity. Thank you also to Mr Braddish and our School Council for organising
everything. We do still have a few cake tins/tubs. Please speak with your child’s class teacher to ensure
these are returned to the right families.

NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe Programme

Over the past few week all classes have been working through the NSPCC Speak Out, Stay Safe
programme. This has included assemblies, class based work and for Y2, Y5 and Y6 a workshop led by a
specialist professional. As a result of their engagement in this programme all our children will have
increased their knowledge of: abuse in all its forms and how to recognise the signs of abuse; that abuse is
never a child’s fault and they have the right to be safe; where to get help and the sources of help available
to them, including the Childline service. We have an extensive safeguarding programme in place for all our
children. Please see the safeguarding section of our school website or speak with any member of staff if
you have any questions.

Teaching Assistant Vacancy

We currently have a vacancy in school for a Teaching Assistant. This will involve working in a KS2 class.
The post is for 20 hours a week and is due to start in January. All information regarding this post can be
found in the Vacancy section of our school website, as well as on most Lincolnshire job sites. Please share
widely if you know anyone with the skills, experience and interest in working in our school.

First Aid
On Monday our Y5 and Y6 children completed
their basic First Aid training. We ensure all
children train in this important life skill
opportunity during their time at our school. This is
delivered on a 2-year rolling programme. This was
led by our partner ABC First Aid Training and all
children will receive their certificates shortly.
