 Students will guess the meaning of some vocabulary
words through pictures in order to be able to read the
text.

While Reading: 60 min
 Read Mr. Willy Wonka Description.
 Discuss Questions about Mr. Wonka as a whole class
collectively.
 Fill the character description graphic organizer.
Post reading:
 Ask learners to underline adjectives in Mr. Wonka
description.
 Ask learners to find synonyms for these adjectives.
 Display the PowerPoint presentation of strong adjectives
on the board and explain it to learners.
 Ask learners to answer strong adjectives Language
worksheets in pairs.
 Go back to the text and remind learners that when they
are describing a character they need to highlight:
Their looks?
Their personality traits?
Their actions?
Their feelings?
Their thoughts and words?
 Listen to Charlie`s description and fill the graphic
organizer about his character description.
 Learners will try to write their own character
description of Charlie.
 Students will share their work.
5 Assessment opportunities: Formative
 Learners will write one paragraph to describe each picture. Each paragraph should
include information about how the setting feels and the atmosphere it creates.
