These are my 2 chosen policies in the University’s Undergraduate Catalog.

Privacy Policy

The reason why I have read and agreed to the term and policy is that it keeps all the confidential
cases of all individuals so that there is no danger and can comfortably learn with no worry because
University of the People’s law covers for every applicants or members of the University. If someone
breaches University’s policy, he or she may be acted disciplinary actions by University’s personnel team.
University of the People respects and honors not only the privacy of all of its students, applicants, and
personnel but also the confidentiality of its students’ educational records. We, all of us, value our
privacy cases or informations such as relationship, education, personal background, academic records,
achievements and so on. Moreover, University of the People does not publish or reveal the academic
records or confidential information of a student, applicant, or member of its personnel team to a third
party. All in all, due to the University of the People values the “Privacy Policy”, we as individuals are so
euphoric to learn there with positive environment.

Sexual Harassment Policy

Sexual harassment is a violation of university policy and state and federal law and it can’t be
tolerated in any part of the world. It is definied as unwelcome sexual advances, invitations and requests
for sexual cases including communication in person or online like email, social media, texting, sex
chatting. The victims may be between either men or women or even between individuals of the same
gender. Sexual harassment may occur when there is an authority between Course Instructors and
students or between students at the University. The person who is aware of or has experienced sexual
harassment should report the case immediately to Student Affairs at student.affairs@uopeople.edu who
will advice the victim on filling a grievance at UoPeople. During the investigation, the University will
maintain the confidentiality for all parties involved, but confidentiality will not be guaranteed. Following
the investigation, the sexual harassment offenders will be subject to disciplinary warning or dismissal
from the university for students or termination of employment or other partnership for staff and faculty.
On the other hand, a person who makes a false complaint will be subject to disciplinary warning or
dismissal from the university for students or termination of employment or other partnership for staff
and faculty.
