Molasses Ale

Aleph is the first letter of the Phoenician alphabet and our first
Lebanese Terroir beer. This specialty ale was brewed with carob
molasses from Mount Lebanon as a tribute to our rich culinary
heritage. This medium-full ale has a rich aroma of red fruits, sustained
by clove scents. Its bouquet is complemented by a sweet nutty flavor
with an after-taste of dark chocolate and warm alcohol notes. A
medium-lasting off-white foam tops this deep copper-colored ale.
Generously carbonated.
This beer is the cornerstone of our Lebanese Terroir series
beers. Carob molasses are an integral part of Lebanese cuisine, impart
a unique chocolaty and nutty taste to a plate, and are generally used
for desserts.
The long fermentation times with carob molasses and diastaticus
yeast make for a nice sweet and dense beer that stays fresh and
carbonated due to refermentation in the bottle!
