I. Introduction

The Supervised Industrial Training (SIT) Program is a planned, hands-on

educational opportunity created to expose students to actual workplace settings

relevant to their field of study. The curriculum seeks to close the knowledge gap

between theoretical classroom instruction and real-world application in the workplace.

The SIT program, which is frequently provided by educational institutions as a

component of particular courses or degree programs, enables students to acquire

insightful knowledge, practical abilities, and work experience that can improve their

overall educational and career prospects. Students are assigned to organizations or

businesses that are relevant to their topic of study during the SIT program. They employ

the theories and methods they have learnt in their academic studies to real projects

and tasks while working under the supervision and direction of professionals. Students

can gain a greater understanding of their subject matter, hone their practical abilities,

and learn about industry procedures and standards through an immersive learning

experience.

II. Job/s performed in the Company.

It was an exciting journey during my internship at Alorica Teleservices Inc.

Araneta City, Cubao, where I was exposed to a dynamic and fast-paced world of

graphic design and marketing. It’s not that hard to get to know the people because I’m

currently employed in this company where they give me the opportunity to showcase

my current profession in visual communication industry.

We mainly focus on appreciating the achievements of the team by getting a

high average of month to date satisfaction of our customers. To let everybody know,

our job is to take good care our customer’s account in telecommunication company

called TMOBILE. Although my primary focus was on graphic design, this interaction

demonstrated how various creative aspects came together to create compelling

campaigns. We are ending our day with different achievements of each employee

and one of my initial tasks was to create posters captivating their strong

performance not only fixing our customer’s phone services but also pitching sales

to gain more of bonuses. Armed with Adobe Photoshop, I poured my creativity into

the design, blending colors, typography, and imagery to reflect the spirit of the

month. The immediate approval and subsequent posting of my design on their social

media page filled me with a sense of accomplishment and reinforced my confidence

in my skills.

In addition, I was given the responsibility of calling out the names of our

coworkers whenever they achieved tremendous success in the production or new

sales. We gather information on each accomplishment and evaluate them from best

to worst based on the availability of more possibilities. In response, we develop

rewards and recognition, or what is commonly referred to as "RNR", to showcase

our top-performing employees who follow the action plan and primary behavior of

addressing the emotions of the consumer by evoking an emotional response.

I was looking forward to the event with excitement because it offered a huge

opportunity for me to take part in a real-world campaign.

The highlight of the first week was the moment that I also got recognition, aside

from working in creatives team, I’m assisting a customer also which gives me the

opportunity to gain sales. I was one of the featured employees where I design my own

poster to celebrate the success of the week. This role exposed me to the job used to

be employed with, at the same time showcasing my own kind of profession in graphic

design art industry. Furthermore, I was tasked to observe the successes and

opportunities of the team so that we know how we are going to drive the action plan in

the next interval of the shift as we know that we are challenged to manage our

customer’s account and experience in TMOBILE.

In the closing week of my internship, we were able to have a chance to be with

our Team manager in our monthly rewards and recognition. We talked about the best

practices that were achieved for the whole month. This will help the team to work

together in the next more months to make a remarkable experience not only for our

customers but to us employees who were also gaining successful profit average.

Reflecting upon the entirety of my internship, I am overwhelmed by the growth

and transformation I underwent. The practical experience I gained from working on

actual projects, under the guidance of experienced professionals, was invaluable. The

exposure to a diverse array of tasks broadened my skill set, instilling in me a sense of

versatility that will undoubtedly be an asset in my future endeavors. As I prepare to

graduate and take my first steps into the professional realm, I carry with me the lessons,

experiences, and insights from my time at J Rosales Innovative Advertising Services.

With a heart full of gratitude and optimism, I am confident that the knowledge I've

amassed will propel me toward success, shaping my path as a creative professional.

1. Knowledge (Principles, Theories and Concepts) – State here the things learned in

school that was applied in the job and that knowledge that was learned while

undergoing the training.

The knowledge I acquired during my university education has proven invaluable in

my professional role. It has instilled in me a sense of vigilance in my work environment

to mitigate potential hazards and prioritize safety. Additionally, it has cultivated a

creative mindset that extends beyond design, influencing my approach to various tasks

and endeavors. During my internship as a graphic artist, I had the opportunity to apply

a range of principles, theories, and concepts that I acquired both during my academic

studies and my training.

The first aspect that came into play was the fundamental design principles that

formed the bedrock of my creative endeavors. With an arsenal comprising balance,

contrast, emphasis, and proportion, I embarked on the task of crafting designs that

were not only visually alluring but also strategically effective. These principles acted as

guiding stars, steering me towards the harmonious arrangement of design elements

and ensuring a seamless conveyance of messages to my intended audience.

Color theory, a subject that had fascinated me in the classroom, took on a new

dimension during my internship. The psychological impact of colors and their intricate

interplay emerged as a powerful tool. Armed with this knowledge, I meticulously

curated color palettes that skillfully evoked specific emotions and reactions. This

newfound insight proved invaluable in branding initiatives, setting moods, and elevating

the visual resonance of my designs.

Typography, an art I had meticulously honed, proved to be an indispensable asset.

Navigating through the intricacies of font selection, sizing, and spacing, I found myself

empowered to choose typefaces that perfectly complemented a diverse array of

My proficiency in various design software and tools, an area that I had diligently

cultivated through my coursework and previous experiences, now stood as a

cornerstone of my daily operations. Armed with a deep-rooted familiarity with tools like

Adobe Creative Suite, I was able to bring my creative visions to life with an

unprecedented level of technical adeptness. Beyond the canvas, my ability to interact

with clients assumed newfound importance. The art of effective communication, a skill

I had cultivated during my academic journey, found practical application as I engaged

with clients in a professional capacity. This aptitude allowed me to not only comprehend

client needs but also seamlessly integrate their feedback into my designs, ensuring

their utmost satisfaction. The responsibilities of project management, a concept I had

studied extensively, became more than theoretical. I was now orchestrating the

intricate dance of task prioritization, deadline adherence, and workflow management.

This newfound insight equipped me with the tools necessary to meticulously organize

my endeavors and consistently deliver projects punctually, all while upholding a

standard of excellence.

The iterative design approach, a guiding principle I had encountered in my

training, became a philosophy I lived by. The value of refining designs based on

feedback became apparent as I immersed myself in the creative process. This iterative

journey allowed for the seamless adaptation to evolving requirements and the

continuous enhancement of the final product. Ethical design practices and copyright

laws were not mere abstract concepts but principles that guided my every move. The

conscientious approach I adopted ensured that my work adhered to industry best

practices and upheld the rights of creators, laying the foundation for a responsible and

ethical career in graphic design. My ability to adapt and creatively solve problems, skills

that I had honed during my training, proved to be the armor I needed to tackle the

challenges that arose. Armed with these tools, I was able to surmount design hurdles

and devise innovative solutions that defied constraints, breathing life into even the most

complex of projects.

Finally, the collaborative proficiency I had cultivated took on new meaning as I

engaged with colleagues and cross-functional teams. Through shared experiences,

both from academic projects and my internship, I recognized the immense significance

of teamwork in achieving remarkable outcomes. In conclusion, my internship

experience as a graphic artist was a transformative journey that brought to life the

principles, theories, and concepts I had learned during my academic pursuit. It was a

journey characterized by growth, discovery, and the realization that learning extends

far beyond the classroom walls. As I step forward into my career, I carry with me not

b. Skills learned in the company while on training. During my training at the

Advertising Marketing Agency, I had the privilege of acquiring a diverse

range of skills that significantly enriched my understanding of the industry

and enhanced my professional capabilities. Some of the key skills I learned

during my time at the company include:

i. Product layout refers to the arrangement and presentation of elements,

such as text, images, and graphics, in a visually appealing and organized

manner to showcase a product. It involves designing product packaging,

labels, and promotional materials that effectively communicate the

product's features, benefits, and brand identity. A well-executed product

layout captures attention and influences consumer perception, ultimately

contributing to successful marketing and sales.

ii. Social media design involves creating visual content tailored for social

media platforms. It includes designing eye-catching posts, cover images,

profile pictures, and banners that resonate with the brand's message and

engage the target audience. Effective social media design utilizes

appropriate dimensions, typography, colors, and imagery to enhance

brand visibility, promote content, and encourage user interaction, such

as likes, shares, and comments.

iii. Logo design is the process of creating a distinctive visual symbol that

represents a brand, company, or organization. A logo is a crucial aspect

of brand identity and serves as a recognizable mark that encapsulates

the essence of the brand. Logo designers combine elements like shapes,

colors, typography, and imagery to craft a logo that conveys the brand's

personality, values, and mission. A well-designed logo establishes brand

recognition and sets the foundation for cohesive marketing materials.

IV. Problems met while on training.

1. School related problems

a. The requirement process was rushed, this caused delays, especially with the

Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), pushing the Internship Program's start date

later. Students also believed the SIT program could have been better organized.

2. Company related problems.

b. Theres no problem encountered at all

IV. Suggestions and Recommendations (For the improvement of the curricula.)

We recommend informing future SIT students about the training two months in advance

to ensure their physical, emotional, and mental readiness. This will help them manage

their time effectively, preventing overlaps with their academics. TUP should also provide

all necessary requirements to the chosen company beforehand, as this was a common

struggle for students during their SIT & OJT preparations. Timely submission of

university papers is crucial for a smooth process. We hope these suggestions receive

consideration and attention.
