Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman is an Australian


actress of English, Irish and Scottish
descent. She was born in Hawaii,
but her family soon moved to
Washington because of her father's
research work on breast cancer.
They later returned to Sydney,
Australia, where Nicole grew up.
Kidman made her fist film debut
at age 16 in "Bush Christmas"
(1983) and soon received lot film
and television offers. Throughout the 1990s, he achieved
international recognition with roles in films such as "Days
of Thunder" (1990), "Far and Away" (1992) and "Batman
Forever" (1995)
His highlights include Golden Globe wins for "Moulin
Rouge!" (2001) and an Oscar for his performance in "The
Hours" (2002).
Kidman is an ambassador for UNICEF and UNIFEM, has
received the Order of Australia and holds Australian and
American citizenship. She is the founder of the
production company Blossom Films and involved in
philanthropic causes, including the fight against breast
cancer.
