1. Product overview

SDJ series (10kw-25kw) AC controller is a driver developed for AC electric vehicles in low & high
voltage, supporting 48V to 144V.
As the drive equipment of high reliability and large torque asynchronous motor,designed with four
quadrants vector control method,it can control the motor speed & torque precisely.It is widely used
in pure electric passenger car,electric forklift,low-speed A00 class passenger car,electric sightseeing
vehicle,electric logistic vehicle,etc.

2. Product features

 The controller adopts the German DSP,an international mainstream digital drive as a core control chip,which

helps to build a good platform for motor control algorithm.

 By using the high power MOSFET tube for power device,it can realize the efficient energy conversion.

 Multiple safety protection for CAN interface and safety certification management of lithium battery BMS.

 Support short circuit protection (phase - ground,phase - phase,phase - source) ,overload, over temperature,

over voltage protection;

 A reliable & flexible regenerative brake technology can improve the driving mileage,and meet the needs of

customer.

 Using micro-motion technology & slow descent and hill-holding technology for steep slope,more powerful

climbing ability,stable hill-holding,stronger start-up.

 Adopt excellent optimization algorithm & frequency 0 to 300 HZ, to reduce noise and vibration amplitude

 Perfect fault protection function, the buzzer reminds all kinds of faults,it’s convenient maintenance;

 Adopts CAN-bus technology to reduce wiring connected, the parameter can be adjusted and it’s

programmable online;

 Adopts compatible design to make the volume smaller and the weight lighter;

 Self - learning function, simplify the installation and debugging steps.

6. Installation notes

1.The terminal shown in the figure is the incoming direction.

2.B+ is connected to the positive pole of the battery, B- is connected to the negative pole of the
battery, and U, V & W are separately connected to the three-phase motors U, V & W respectively.
3.The binding posts are fixed with M6*20 bolts, M6 bolt with torque of 10±2Nm.

7. Fault information

8. Common problems in loading

1.After properly connecting the wire,and open the ignition switch, put the gear switch on and step
on the accelerator pedal to find that the car does not move, there are three possibilities:
(1) Pls check: whether the ignition switch is normally on and off, whether the signal of ignition
switch is normal.
And check with the control circuit of ignition switch (Such as: whether the relay is closed, whether
the on and off of ignition switch is damaged.)
(2) Reading the gear signal,and checking whether the output of throttle signal is fine or not by the
computer software.
(3) Pls check it out if the throttle pedal is supplied by 12V and 5V power, such as the controller is
designed with 5V pedal,the with 12V pedal would not be worked.

2. After properly connecting the cable, and put on the ignition switch & the gear switch,and step on
the throttle pedal, then the car is walking slowly. There are the following two possibilities:
(1) abnormal motor encoder.
(2) the phases of the motor are inverted, pls exchange UV or VW phases.

3. The signal of gear switch is reversed. When the forward gear signal is sent out, the car runs
backward. When the backward gear signal is sent out, the car runs forward. It can be solved by the
following methods:
(1) pls adjust the phases UV or VW of the motor, and adjust the AB line of motor encoder.
(2) adjusted by the program software.

9. Fault Stastus Elimination

1. After the ignition switch is put on,if the car does not run, or the throttle is suddenly stepped on
but it is invalid.
Pls deal with it as following:
(1) Pls check whether the three-phase line is loose between the controller and the motor.
If it is only loose,pls tighten the screw,the controller can be used again.
If it causes one phase of UVW to be burned out due to heating, pls replace the controller.
(2)Pls check that the wiring harness connector of the controller is fastened.
(3)Pls check whether the battery voltage of the controller is too low.
(4)Pls check whether the electronic throttle is damaged.

2. The car is moving slowly & the controller is hot.

(1) motor encoder is damaged.
(2) If the encoder is normal,pls check whether the phase line of the motor is reversed.

3. Sometimes move & sometimes not move

(1) whether the joint terminal between the motor phase line and the controller is loose.
(2) whether the input signal of gear switch is normal.Pls read the gear signal & the throttle signal by
our software.

4. The function of high and low speed cannot be switched.

(1) check whether the switch of high and low speed is damaged.

5. The dashboard communication is abnormal or not work.

(1) check whether the dashboard is normal and whether the wiring harness is open or has been
poorly contact.

6. The car runs by itself

(1) both of the switch signal and the throttle signal are outputted by the throttle at the same time,
pls replaces the throttle.
