Detailed Lesson Plan in Arts II

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
 Demonstrates understanding of colors and shapes, and the principles of harmony,
rhythm, and balance through painting.
B. Performance Standard
 Creates a harmonious design of natural and man-made objects to express ideas
using colors and shapes, and harmony.
C. Learning Competencies
 Expresses that colors have names, can be grouped as primary, secondary, and
tertiary.
D. Learning Objectives
 At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. identify what is color and the different types of colors;
b. appreciate the importance of colors in our life; and
c. create a simple artwork using the colors.

by mixing two other color.

The second type of color is Secondary


color, which are the color combinations
created by the equal mixture of two
primary color.
Since, we already know about the primary
color such as blue, red and yellow. Now,
we will be able to create another color
which is secondary color, but we can
create a secondary color if we will
combined two primary color.

For example, if we combined together the


color blue and the color yellow, what
color will come up class?

Very good! Next, if we mix the red and
yellow, what do you think the color that
we are going to produced? Orange!

Very good! How about if we combined


the color blue and the color red? What
