1.1 DEFINITION
Uniformwork Technology Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated on July 2011 as a manufacture for pre-
fabricated formwork system. Uniformwork has provided formwork system services to residential
construction industries. Our factory comprised of 12,233 m2 (3.0231 Acres) of production area and
produce 2,000 m2 per month. We operate in Penang and Kuala Lumpur to meet with customer
satisfaction. The main elements of our formwork are Galvanized Iron Frame merge with Aluminium
Composite Panel.

As seen in Figure 1., the formwork operational process involves drafting department on requesting
architectural and engineering drawings from consultant or main contractor, shop drawing
preparation and approval, confirmation on order, designing phase for formwork panels. Forwarding
to the procurement department, purchasing for raw materials only occur based on raw materials
availability, conducted raw materials inspection. Prefabrication process begin at production,
conduct final inspection for finish products, products stored in store and ready for delivery to the
client.
Uniformwork system flexibility allows it to adapt to customer’s requirements. The simplicity of the
system allows less and unskilled labors to assemble. Components are light and do not require
heavy lifting, as it required one labor to handle the components.
SYSTEM
1.2 SCOPE
This documentation is to focus on the application process of obtaining an Industrial Building System
(IBS) Certificate/ IBS license on our products which are (1) Aluminium System Formwork and (2)
Steel Frame with Composite Panel Slab Formwork. The main purpose is to ensure our products
are systematically evaluated in order to have the best quality whilst consistently fulfilling the
standard and regulations enacted.
This IBS Formwork is mainly to reduce input and production more efficiency by maximizing or
making full use of production, transportation, and assembly in the manufacturing phase, which
indirectly saves time and costs. IBS construction reduces the need for on-site labor compared to
traditional construction. It is because prefabricated components simplify assembly through
automation. IBS formwork is a cost effective since it uses one form plan throughout the project, for
example, and orient all framing in one direction to save time in a one-way system, use standard
form sizes, and use the same level for all beams and joists. It is also to minimize the amount of
works on the site, increase the quality of the building, and increase the speed of construction.
Hence, the Aluminium System Formwork and Steel Frame with Composite Panel Slab Formwork
generally will be use as horizontal and vertical elements.
