I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:
a. identify the numbers 1 to 20;
b. count and arrange numbers from 1 to 20; and
c. associate counting numbers in counting money when buying something.

II. Subject Matter: Numbers 1 to 20


Materials: laptop, PowerPoint presentation, pictures

A. Preparation

Good morning class! Good morning, teacher!

Who is absent today? None, teacher.

Very good!

As we start our day, let us pray first.


Let us all remember that we are in the
Most Holy presence of God.
Our Lasallian prayer. I will continue oh, my God to do all my
actions for the love of you.

St. John Baptist De La Salle, Pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts, Forever.

Now, let us sing the Lupang Hinirang. Put


your right hand on your chest. (sings lupang hinirang presented on the
screen)
Now let us dance before we take our
seats. Let’s sing and dance

Very good! Now, everybody sit down and


listen to the teacher.

1. Review

Yesterday, we learned about the numbers


16-20 with teacher Shania! Now let’s
review if you still remember the numbers
16-20.
I have some pictures here in front and I
want volunteers to come in front. Count
how many objects are in each box and
paste the corresponding number inside
the box beside it.

you have really learned what you tackled
yesterday.

2. Motivation

Now class, I prepared another action song


for you. This is counting to 20 action song.
Pay attention because I will do the action
song first and then after I do it, you have
to do it with me. Am I clear? Yes, teacher.

Based on the action song that we just did,


what number did we count up to? We counted up to number 20.

That’s right! We counted from 1 up to 20.

Do you know how to count from number 1


to 20? Yes, teacher.

That’s good to hear because that is what


we are going to tackle today. Numbers 1
to 20.

3. Statement of the Aim

I want you to listen to our discussion


properly because at the end of the lesson,
you will be able to identify the numbers 1
to 20; count and arrange numbers from 1
to 20; and associate counting numbers in
counting money when buying something.

starting from number one up to twenty. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
Ready, start. 14,15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

Good job group 1! Now it's group 2’s turn.


You may start counting starting from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
number one up to twenty. Ready, start. 14,15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

May I call (pupil’s name) to count the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,

C. Generalization

Again, what number did we count up to? We counted up to 20!


Everybody let us all count again up to
twenty starting from one. Ready, start. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14,15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.

Now I have a question. If we are able to


count just like we did earlier, does that
mean we are able to count money as Yes, teacher.

Have you ever tried buying something


from the store? Yes, I have.

What did you buy? (Answers may vary.)

Did you count the money before paying


for it? Yes I counted the money before paying.

Why is it important to count the money


first before paying for it? It is important to count the money first
before paying for it so that it won't be
short and to know that we are paying for
the exact amount of the product.

That is right. We have to count the money


first so that we will know if we are paying
the exact amount for the product.

D. Application

At this point, let us have an activity.

Activity Title: Jump High!


Mechanics:
1. The class will be divided into two
groups.
2. The teacher will paste numbers 1
to 20 on the tiles.
3. Each participant of the group will
jump on the number that the
teacher will say.
4. The group that with more points is
the winner.
IV. Evaluation
Directions: Write the missing numbers. (1
point each)

V. Assignment
Directions: Count the objects in each row,
and write the number in the box.
