Name: Pankaj Saini (20191033)
Civil Engineering
Round 1
It consisted of 4 sections (algebra, data interpretation, speed math, and guess
estimate of questions you have done) having 85 questions which must be
completed in 46 minutes. One important thing | would like to focus on is those
memory-based questions. A DI question used to appear on the screen now you
have to memorize it you cannot go back and 3-4 questions will be asked.
Round 2
Out of around 180 students who appeared for the online test 26 were shortlisted
for this round. This was a basic HR round But | was preparing for specific Finance
role so they asked me more technical questions regarding finance. To check
intelligence, they show me a picture and ask questions after 6-7 minutes and then
show a 17-digit number (98739345581030500) for 40 seconds and asked after 5-6
minutes of conversation. And the best part was that | answered them correctly.
Then my interviewer asked me to ask him some questions and then it was my
turn to test them ;) | asked 3 questions back-to-back:
1. Why futures first do not trade in Indian markets although Indian markets are
emerging markets and NSE is world's largest derivatives traded exchange.
2. It is time of algos and systematic trading is discretionary trading done at
futures first?
3. You have been part of this company from scratch how is your experience at
futures first?
So, this round also ended and | was one of those who made it to the next one!
Round 3
Out of 26 students 8 were shortlisted for this round. It was a group activity. We
were 4 students in a group and 2 people from futures first who were conducting
the activity. It was a buzzer round and we were asked aptitude questions and
puzzles the one who answered first got a positive score and if it answers is wrong
then a negative score. With every 4 questions the scores were increasing (+1, — 1)
(+2/-2), and so on. It was a stress round and demanded we take risks.
And the best part was that | again made it to the next round
Round 4Out of 8 students 3 were shortlisted for this round. This was a basic HR round like
Why Futures First? Your family background, why not a core company? Etc.
Then my interviewer asked me to ask him some questions and again | ask them
some questions back-to-back.
Round 5
Out of 3 students, all of us were selected. There was a surprise round in which we
got the chance to interact with the branch head. He was expected to clarify any
doubts we had regarding the job profile, so | asked him eight or nine questions.
After 15-20 minutes of wait all 3 of us were selected.
This was a feeling that cannot be described.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:
Be confident, honest, and well-behaved all during your interview rounds.
They’re looking for the best character and not the best trader.
