RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF MRS. GEMMA A. PISLAAN AS BARANGAY

TREASURER OF PAGANGPANG, GALIMUYOD, ILOCOS SUR EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 29, 2023.

WHEREAS, Section 395 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of
1991 provides for the appointment of a Barangay Treasurer who shall keep custody of all barangay funds and
properties, among others;

WHEREAS, Section 389 of Republic Act. No. 7160 likewise mandates that the Punong Barangay shall
appoint the barangay treasurer upon the concurrence by a majority of all members of the sangguniang barangay;

WHEREAS, the Punong Barangay appointed Mrs. GEMMA A. PISLAAN to be the barangay treasurer of
this barangay effective on November 29, 2023, subject to the confirmation and concurrence of this body;

WHEREAS, the barangay treasurer shall assume the responsibilities and functions embodied in Sec. 395
(1 to 8) of RA No. 7160.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion made and duly seconded, this body in a meeting duly assembled:

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to confirm and concur the appointment of Mrs.

GEMMA A. PISLAAN as the Barangay Treasurer of Barangay Pagangpang, Galimuyod Ilocos Sur;

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUNONG BARANGAY MOISES T. GALANGCO AND

BARANGAY TREASURER GEMMA A. PISLAAN OF BARANGAY PAGANGPANG,
GALIMUYOD, ILOCOS SUR AS THE OFFICIAL SIGNATORIES TO TRANSACT
BUSINESS AT THE LAND BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES, CANDON CITY BRANCH,
ILOCOS SUR.

WHEREAS, Section 311 of Republic Act No. 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government
Code of 1991, mandates that the Barangay Treasurer shall maintain a depository account in the name of
their respective Local Government Unit with a bank preferable government-owned, among others;

WHEREAS, in compliance with the General Guidelines of Budget Execution No. 1-97 of the
Department of Budget and Management, the barangay is to maintain an account at the Land Bank of
the Philippines (LBP), and the LBP is the official depository bank of the barangay;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Sangguniang Brgy. Member ROSEMARIE NICOLAS,

duly seconded by Sang. Brgy. Member MARELLE CHRIS JOSEPH T. SONSON, be it

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to maintain an account of the barangay, and

to authorize PB MOISES T. GALANGCO and Brgy. Treasurer GEMMA A. PISLAAN, as the
signatories of the barangay account at the Land Bank of the Philippines, Candon City Branch, Candon
City, Ilocos Sur;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Land Bank of
the Philippines, Candon City, Ilocos Sur, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and other
offices concerned for their information, guidance and reference.
 UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED, this 1st day of December, 2023 at Pagangpang, Galimuyod,
Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
