I. WHAT’S YOUR ADDRESS?

1. Cách hỏi xem ai đó đến từ đâu

+ Câu hỏi: Where + do/ does + S + come from?

+ Câu trả lời: S + come/ comes + from + ...

Ví dụ:

- Where do you come from?

I come from England.

- Where does Hoa come from?

She comes from Viet Nam.

2. Cách hỏi địa chỉ của ai đó ở đâu

+ Câu hỏi: What is + possessive adj (your/ his/...) + address?

+ Câu trả lời: It’s + address.

Ví dụ:

- What is your address?

It is 199, Ho Tung Mau Street, Ha Noi.

- What is his address?

It is Flat 105 on the tenth floor of Lotte Tower.

3. Cách hỏi ai đó sống ở đâu

+ Câu hỏi: Where+ do/does + S + live?

+ Câu trả lời: S + live/ lives + in/ on/ at + address.

- in + flat/ street/ village/ town/city/country

- at + số nhà + street/ road/ lane

- on + số thứ tự (the first/ second/ ...) + floor

Ví dụ:

- Where do you live?

I live in Flat 12 on the second floor of Ha Noi Tower.

- Where does Miss Hoa live?

She lives at 250, Tran Hung Dao Street.

- Where do they live?

They live on the fourth floor of City Tower.

4. Cách hỏi xem nơi đó như thế nào

+ Câu hỏi: What is + place + like?

+ Câu trả lời: It’s + adj.

Ví dụ:

- What is your city like?

It's crowded and busy.

- What is his hometown like?

It's small and quiet.

1. Cách hỏi về thói quen thường ngày của ai đó

+ Câu hỏi: What + do/ does + S + do?

+ Câu trả lời: I/ We/ You/ They + always/ usually/ often/ sometimes/... +
V (bare-inf) ...

She/ He + always/ usually/ often/ sometimes/... + Vs/es.. (thêm “es” khi

động từ kết thúc là “o, s, x, z, sh, ch”)

Lưu ý: V (bare—inf): động từ nguyên thể không có “to

Ví dụ:

- What do you do in the evening, Nga?

- What does Hoa do in the morning?

She usually goes to school.

- What do they do after getting up?

They always brush their teeth.

Lưu ý:

Các trạng từ tần suất (adverbs of frequency): chỉ ra mức độ thường xuyên
của hành động. Một số trạng từ thông dụng thường gặp sau đây:

+ always: luôn luôn

+ usually: thường xuyên (tần suất khoảng 7–8/ 10)

+ often: thường (fần suất khoảng 5/10)

+ sometimes: thỉnh thoảng (tần suất khoảng 2–3/ 10)

+ never: không bao giờ

2. Cách hỏi và trả lời về tần suất ai đó làm gì

+ Câu hỏi: How often + do/ does + S + V?

+ Câu trá lòi: S + V/ Vs/es ... every day/ once/ twice ... a week/ a month.

Ví dụ:

- How often does she brush her teeth?

She brushes her teeth twice a day.

– How often do you visit your grandparents?

Once a week.

Lưu ý:

Cách viết tần suất:

+ once/ twice + a + day/week/ month/year

+ three/ four/ five ... + times + a + day/week/ month/year

Ví du:

- Twice a month

- Three times a week

- Once a day
