SUBJECT REMINDER ON THE ELECTIONEERING AND PARTISAN

POLITICAL ACTIVITY

DATE MARCH 21, 2022

Pursuant to the COMELEC and CSC Joint Circular no. 001 series
of 2016 entitled Advisory on Electioneering and Partisan Political Activity,
barangay officials are prohibed from engaging in electioneering or partisan
political activities ( Sec. 13 and 14).

In view of the numerous capacity development activities organized by

the Liga ng Barangay of the respective LGUs in our area of responsibility,
all concerned officials are hereby directed to ensure that the said activites
will be conducted for the sole purpose of capacity development.

In addition, since disbursement of public funds are prohibited starting

March 25, 20221, all operating units are directed to advise the LGUs or Liga
concerned that all the funds to be used for said trainings should be
disbursed prior the said period.
