Sub: Open Elective Allotment for Winter Semester 2023 - reg

The Open elective allotment of UG students (upcoming S6 and S8 B.Tech, S6, S8 and S10
B.Arch) for the Winter Semester 2023-24 is scheduled from 23rd November 2023 - 2nd December
2023. As a first step, students are required to verify their details in the attached document
and in case of any issues, raise a ticket in ticket.nitc.ac.in by choosing the Help Topic as “DAO
- Open Elective Portal” with the student’s roll number and the details of the issue on or before
28th November 2023, 11 AM.

Students concerned are required to enter their preferences on or before 2nd December 2023,
11 PM. Please note that only one Open Elective will be allotted through the portal based on a
random priority list generated from those who have submitted the preferences on time. Those
who need to credit two Open Electives in the upcoming semester and those who intend to credit
Department Elective courses as Open Electives may directly contact their Faculty Advisors for
necessary assistance.

While providing preferences, please note that students (upcoming S8) with 7.5 or above CGPA
are eligible to opt for PG level courses (course code starting with 6 or above, eg: MS6xxxD).
Students are encouraged to enter as many preferences as possible to get at least one from the
preferred list.

Deadline for reporting login issues: 28th November 2023, 11 AM.

Deadline for submitting preferences: 2nd December 2023, 11 PM.

Note that you can submit your preferences only once and that submission is the final.

The course allocation can be obtained from the portal on 05.12.2023, 4.00 PM.

You must go through the Notice and the video tutorial before proceeding to the Open Elective
Allotment Portal.

Login issues may be reported through ticket.nitc.ac.in.
