INTRODUCTION

Several messages, opinions and teachings

have been preached about the person of
Christ our Savior. We must not be ignorant
of His person and the purpose for which He
entered into our world. If we do not know
the person of the King of glory and the
reason for His coming, we will not truly
appreciate all that God Himself has wrought
in Christ Jesus. It is my prayer that beyond
the pages of this book, each one of us will
lay hold of Christ for ourselves; that we like
the men of old may be able to say, "In Him
we live, we breathe and we have our
being." At this point, pick up your Bible as
you read this book and may the King of
glory reveal Himself to you. Amen!

CHRIST JESUS: HIS PERSON

"IN MANY separate revelations [each of

which set forth a portion of the Truth]
and in different ways God spoke of old
to [our] forefathers in and by the
prophets, But in the last of these days
He has spoken to us in [the person of a]
Son, Whom He appointed Heir and
lawful Owner of all things, also by and
through Whom He created the worlds
and the reaches of space and the ages
of time [He made, produced, built,
operated, and arranged them in order].
He is the sole expression of the glory of
God [the Light-being, the out-raying or
radiance of the divine], and He is the
perfect imprint and very image of
[God's] nature, upholding and
maintaining and guiding and propelling
6
the universe by His mighty word of
power. When He had by offering Himself
accomplished our cleansing of sins and
riddance of guilt, He sat down at the
right hand of the divine Majesty on
high"
Hebrews 1:1-3.
If you have ever sent a message via any
electronic means to your loved ones, it will
be a great disappointment to you if you
ever realized that those to whom you sent
the message failed to understand what you
were trying to communicate. Since you
have decided to read this book, I know you
believe God exist and that He gave us the
Bible. However, it is not enough to believe
this. God desires that you and I have an
understanding of what the message of the
Bible is all about.
The coming of Jesus Christ into this world
was actually a message from God. He came
as One sent with a message. The message
was hidden in Christ Jesus Himself. When

7
you come in contact with the Jesus of the
Bible and His message from God, your life
cannot remain the same;
"But to as many as did receive and
welcome Him, He gave the authority
(power, privilege, right) to become the
children of God, that is, to those who
believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely
on) His name- Who owe their birth
neither to bloods nor to the will of the
flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to
the will of man [that of a natural
father], but to God. [They are born of
God!] And the Word (Christ) became
flesh (human, incarnate) and
tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh,
lived awhile) among us; and we
[actually] saw His glory (His honor, His
majesty), such glory as an only
begotten son receives from his father,
full of grace (favor, loving-kindness)
and truth." John 1:12-14
An encounter with the Jesus of the Bible
will cause a shift in your identity. It changes
8
you from within and makes you become a
child of God. The glory of Jesus rubs off on
those who has encountered Him.
"And all of us, as with unveiled face,
[because we] continued to behold [in the
Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of
the Lord, are constantly being
transfigured into His very own image in
ever increasing splendor and from one
degree of glory to another; [for this
comes] from the Lord [Who is] the
Spirit" 2 Corinthians 3:18.
The glory of Jesus Christ which you came in
contact with when you heard the message
of the gospel is to cause an outright
transformation in the totality of your life.
Who is this Jesus Christ whose message
causes a shift in a man's life? Before you
continue reading, please return to the
opening text at the beginning of this
section. Reflect on the following;
"But] in the last of these days He has
spoken to us in [the person of a] Son,
9
Whom He appointed Heir and lawful
Owner of all things, also by and through
Whom He created the worlds and the
reaches of space and the ages of time
[He made, produced, built, operated,
and arranged them in order]. He is the
sole expression of the glory of God [the
Light-being, the out-raying or radiance
of the divine], and He is the perfect
imprint and very image of [God's]
nature, upholding and maintaining and
guiding and propelling the universe by
His mighty word of power"
This Jesus Christ we are talking about is the
connecting bridge between humanity and
divinity. He had existed even before the
creation of the world. Before time began,
Jesus was with God and He is the absolute.
He is God, possessing all that makes God
God. It was Christ who made heaven and
earth and everything in it. He is the owner
of the heaven and the earth. Psalmist
spokes of Him this way;

10
"The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness
of it, the world and they who dwell in it.
For He has founded it upon the seas and
established it upon the currents and the
rivers." Psalm 24:1-2.
And in Colossians, we see Him this way;
"[Now] He is the exact likeness of the
unseen God [the visible representation
of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all
creation. For it was in Him that all
things were created, in heaven and on
earth, things seen and things unseen,
whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or
authorities; all things were created and
exist through Him [by His service,
intervention] and in and for Him. And He
Himself existed before all things, and in
Him all things consist (cohere, are held
together). He also is the Head of [His]
body, the church; seeing He is the
Beginning, the Firstborn from among
the dead, so that He alone in everything
and in every respect might occupy the
chief place [stand first and be
11
preeminent]. For it has pleased [the
Father] that all the divine fullness (the
sum total of the divine perfection,
powers, and attributes) should dwell in
Him permanently. And God purposed
that through (by the service, the
intervention of) Him [the Son] all things
should be completely reconciled back to
Himself, whether on earth or in heaven,
through Him, [the Father] made peace
by means of the blood of His cross."
Colossians 1:15-20.
This Jesus Christ is the Heir of God because
everything that makes God to be called God
can be found in Him. Christ is not an angel,
for in comparison with the angels, He is far
above them. For He is their Maker since
they exist as part of creation because of
JESUS and for JESUS. Christ as the Heir of
God is superior to the angels;
"[Taking a place and rank by which] He
Himself became as much superior to
angels as the glorious Name (title)
which He has inherited is different from
12
and more excellent than theirs. For to
which of the angels did [God] ever say,
You are My Son, today I have begotten
You [established You in an official
Sonship relation, with kingly dignity]?
And again, I will be to Him a Father, and
He will be to Me a Son? Moreover, when
He brings the firstborn Son again into
the habitable world, He says, Let all the
angels of God worship Him.- Referring to
the angels He says, [God] Who makes
His angels winds and His ministering
servants flames of fire; But as to the
Son, He says to Him, Your throne, O God,
is forever and ever (to the ages of the
ages), and the scepter of Your kingdom
is a scepter of absolute righteousness (of
justice and straightforwardness)."
Hebrew 1:4-8.
When Christ came into the world which He
Himself had made, it was an act of
submission to God's will. He, who is the
King of Glory took the form of mortal man;

13
"Let this same attitude and purpose and
[humble] mind be in you which was in
Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in
humility:] Who, although being
essentially one with God and in the form
of God [possessing the fullness of the
attributes which make God God], did not
think this equality with God was a thing
to be eagerly grasped or retained, But
stripped Himself [of all privileges and
rightful dignity], so as to assume the
guise of a servant (slave), in that He
became like men and was born a human
being." Philippians 2:5-7.
Herod was troubled at the birth of Christ.
He enquired about Him and the scribes of
Jerusalem had to dig into their scriptures to
locate Jesus. Dear friend, at this point you
must know that you can never know about
Jesus and His glory if you will not pay
attention to the word of God. The scribes of
Jerusalem found a scripture which gives us
a glimpse into the origin of Christ Jesus;

14
"But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, you are
little to be among the clans of Judah;
[yet] out of you shall One come forth for
Me Who is to be Ruler in Israel, WHOSE
GOINGS FORTH HAVE BEEN FROM OF
OLD, FROM ANCIENT DAYS (ETERNITY)."
Micah 5:2.
The Jesus that was born in Bethlehem of
Judah is the one whose going forth dated
back to eternity. This means that Jesus
existed even before the creation of the
world.
"For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is
given; and the government shall be upon
His shoulder, and His name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of
Peace. Of the increase of His government
and of peace there shall be no end, upon
the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it with justice
and with righteousness from the [latter]
time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of

15
the Lord of hosts will perform" Isaiah 9:6-
7.
This same Jesus actually existed before time
began for it was through him that all things
were created.
"For it was in Him that all things were
created, in heaven and on earth, things
seen and things unseen, whether
thrones, dominions, rulers, or
authorities; all things were created and
exist through Him [by His service,
intervention] and in and for Him. And He
Himself existed before all things, and in
Him all things consist (cohere, are held
together)" Colossians 1:16 -17.
It wasn't just that Jesus existed before
creation, the Bible tells us that Jesus
actually is the exact representation of God;
"[Now] He is the exact likeness of the
unseen God [the visible representation
of the invisible];..." Colossians 1:16.
"He is the sole expression of the glory of
God [the Light-being, the out-raying or
16
radiance of the divine], and He is the
perfect imprint and very image of
[God's] nature, upholding and
maintaining and guiding and propelling
the universe by His mighty word of
power..." Hebrew 1:3.
Dear friend, the Jesus you know about, do
you know Him as the King of glory? Do you
know Him as the exact representation of
God? Is that Jesus actually an absolute Lord
to you? If the Jesus you know is a mere
founder of a religion or merely the son of
Mary, you have not known Him of whom we
are speaking. Until you submit your heart in
surrender to Him who is the King of glory,
you have not known the One who says;
"Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the
Truth and the Life; no one comes to the
Father except by (through) Me." John
14:6.
The God of the Bible whom you claim to
believe cannot be accessed except through
Jesus. Before you continue with this book,

17
you must know that if you do not know
Jesus, you do not have any relationship with
the God of the Bible. Jesus reveals God to
us and brings us to God. But except a man
comes to Jesus, he cannot see God.
Dear friend, do you know the King of glory?
Have you lifted the gates of your heart for
Him whom the Bible calls the King of glory
to come in and sup with you? There is
nothing as glorious as having the King of
glory in your life.

18
CHRIST JESUS: HIS PURPOSE

"...When He had by offering Himself

accomplished our cleansing of sins and
riddance of guilt, He sat down at the
right hand of the divine Majesty on
high" Hebrews 1:3.
There is this popular saying, "When the
purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is
inevitable". However, it is not only the
purpose of an object that can be abused.
History is filled with with tales of people
who were wronged because others did not
understand or know about them. When a
person claims to know Jesus or to be a
Christian, they may be wrong if they do not
know of what purpose the Son of God
came. There is a purpose for which Christ
came;

19
"[But] he who commits sin [who
practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes
his character from the evil one], for the
devil has sinned (violated the divine law)
from the beginning. The reason the Son
of God was made manifest (visible) was
to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve)
the works the devil [has done"].1 John
3:8.
The above verse of the scripture speaks of a
time - the beginning, it also speaks of an
action - sin and of the devil and of Christ
the son of God. It also speaks of the
purpose for which Christ came.
The first book of the Bible, Genesis, opens
with an account of the beginning of time
and of humankind. God warned man of the
danger and consequences of eating from
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil;
"And the Lord God commanded the
man, saying, You may freely eat of every
tree of the garden- But of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil and blessing

20
and calamity you shall not eat, for in the
day that you eat of it you shall surely
die." Genesis 2:16-17.
The devil however has only one mission; to
steal, to kill and to destroy. The devil is a
thief whose only goal is to rob men. He is
an hunter whose target is to bring down the
glorious destiny of mankind and to make
humans become the enemy of God.
The devil uses his only tool (though he
always rebrand and renovate the tool). The
devil's most potent tool is sin. And sin has
proven overtime to be powerful over the
natural man.
The devil launched an attack in disguise on
Adam and Eve in Genesis three and with
trickery, Adam and Eve fell for it by
disobeying the instruction of God.
"And when the woman saw that the tree
was good (suitable, pleasant) for food
and that it was delightful to look at, and
a tree to be desired in order to make one
wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and
21
she gave some also to her husband, and
he ate. Then the eyes of them both were
opened, and they knew that they were
naked; and they sewed fig leaves
together and made themselves
apronlike girdles." Genesis 3:6-7.
The fall of Adam and Eve was a Federal Fall.
When Adam and Eve fell, it was all of
humanity that fell with them. Those who
participate in sport will understand the
'Federal Fall Principle'. When a sportsman
representing a nation is defeated by
another sportsman representing a different
nation, it is counted as a defeat for the
nation which the defeated sportsman is
representing. The fall of Adam and Eve was
not only a defeat, it led humanity into
captivity under the torment of death.
"Since all have sinned and are falling
short of the honor and glory which God
bestows and receives." Romans 3:23.
"For the wages which sin pays is
death..." Romans 6:23.

22
Death entered into this world by the
disobedience of mankind. It wasn't just a
physical death but more importantly,
humans lost the glory of God. The greatest
beauty of mankind before the fall wasn't
the natural outlook, rather, it is the glory of
mankind that lies in the divine purpose for
which God made man.
"God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit] make mankind in Our image,
after Our likeness, and let them have
complete authority over the fish of the
sea, the birds of the air, the [tame]
beasts, and over all of the earth, and
over everything that creeps upon the
earth. So God created man in His own
image, in the image and likeness of God
He created him; male and female He
created them. And God blessed them
and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply,
and fill the earth, and subdue it [using
all its vast resources in the service of
God and man]; and have dominion over
the fish of the sea, the birds of the air,
23
and over every living creature that
moves upon the earth." Genesis 1:26-28.
The glory of human beings lies in our ability
to fully represent the interest and dominion
of God on earth. It was this glory that the
devil stole in the garden of Eden. The devil
then brought humanity into forceful slavery
and submission using death as a dangerous
tool to enslaved mankind. The fear of death
became man's greatest weakness. Today,
people spend the entirety of their lives
hoping they can avoid death. The
motivation for many people's ambition is
that they may live healthy with the hope
that if possible they may prolong their days
on earth. However, the devil has a firm
grasp of their lives since their motivation to
cheat death is derived solely from fear.
Hebrews 2:15 - And also that He might
deliver and completely set free all those
who through the [haunting] fear of
death were held in bondage throughout
the whole course of their lives.

24
Dear Reader, do you know the world is
actually divided into two blocks? Those who
spend the whole of their lives living under
the fear of death whether vividly or in
disguise are the first block. Currently, the
wealthy people of this age are spending
billions looking for anti-aging opportunities
for mankind. Some are spending their days
in lasciviousness with the hope that before
death comes for them, they would have had
enough of life. The truth however is that by
the eternal verdict of God, all flesh is as
grass;
1 Peter 1:24 - For all flesh (mankind) is
like grass, and all its glory (honor) like
[the] flower of grass. The grass withers
and the flower drops off.
There is a frailty that comes with the fall of
mankind, it is man's desire to please the
flesh. The flesh itself is a corrupt nature and
its goal is to lead humanity to ruin. My
friend, if you are living your life to please
your fleshy nature, death is inevitable for
you. If all you desire and chase after is to
25
make yourself feel better, you need no
prophet to tell you that the flesh will end
up ruining you. See what the eternal word
of God has to say:
"For those who are according to the
flesh and are controlled by its unholy
desires set their minds on and pursue
those things which gratify the flesh,
Now the mind of the flesh [which is
sense and reason without the Holy
Spirit] is death [death that comprises all
the miseries arising from sin, both here
and hereafter]...[That is] because the
mind of the flesh [with its carnal
thoughts and purposes] is hostile to
God, for it does not submit itself to
God's Law; indeed it cannot. So then
those who are living the life of the flesh
[catering to the appetites and impulses
of their carnal nature] cannot please or
satisfy God, or be acceptable to
Him...For if you live according to [the
dictates of] the flesh, you will surely
die... Romans 8:5-8, 13.
26
Dear Friend, nothing, not even faith in
religion can rescue the natural man from
the misery and sorrow of death. Until you
discover and embrace the purpose for
which Christ came, you will be under the
fear of death.
"...the reason the Son of God was made
manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy,
loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil
[has done"].1 John 3:8.
When Adam and Eve brought ruin to
mankind, God didn't leave humanity without
hope. Right from the fall, God spoke of
redemption for humanity.
"And I will put enmity between you and
the woman, and between your offspring
and her Offspring; He will bruise and
tread your head underfoot, and you will
lie in wait and bruise His heel" Genesis
3:15.
The redemption God has to offer was to be
not just the covering of Adam and Eve with
animal skin, but to quench and destroy the
27
work of the devil. This redemption was not
going to be about destroying the work the
devil did in the garden of Eden alone, it was
also to destroy the devil himself since the
redemption would include bruising and
treading Satan's head under foot as a sign of
victory.
After God had declared His verdict, the devil
went about corrupting the human race. He
wanted to makes sure that no one born by
flesh and blood would be able to undo what
he had done. It appeared as if he succeeded
for no man born under the flesh was strong
enough to confront the devil. Neither was
there anyone mighty to bear the work of
redemption. For after the fall, humanity
became dead in trespassees and rebellion
against God.
Through the eternal mercy of God, Christ
Himself being the glory of God stepped into
our world,
1 Timothy 3:16 - And great and important
and weighty, we confess, is the hidden

28
truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He
[God] was made visible in human flesh,
justified and vindicated in the [Holy]
Spirit, was seen by angels, preached
among the nations, believed on in the
world, [and] taken up in glory.
In the birth of Jesus, angels rejoiced because
His birth was God's offer of peace and
goodwill to us all.
"For to you is born this day in the town of
David a Savior, Who is Christ (the
Messiah) the Lord! Then suddenly there
appeared with the angel an army of the
troops of heaven (a heavenly
knighthood), praising God and saying,
Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and
on earth peace among men with whom
He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His
favor]." Luke 2:11-14.
The coming of Jesus into our world was to
destroy the work of the devil. The devil was
the one in charge of making people sin.

29
1 John 3:8 - [But] he who commits sin
[who practices evildoing] is of the devil
[takes his character from the evil one], for
the devil has sinned (violated the divine
law) from the beginning. The reason the
Son of God was made manifest (visible)
was to undo (destroy, loosen, and
dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
Jesus came to save humanity from the yoke
of sin.
Matthew 1:21 - She will bear a Son, and
you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek
form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means
Savior], for He will save His people from
their sins [that is, prevent them from
failing and missing the true end and
scope of life, which is God].
The chaos, sorrows and problems of this age
are only a consequences of the sinfulness of
the human race.
The second block of people that exist on
earth are those who have found Christ the

30
Deliverer for themselves and who have been
freed from the burden and yoke of sin.
Jesus the King of glory brought deliverance
from sin through His death on the cross of
Calvary. His death was a perfect payment for
our sins.
Surely He has borne our griefs
(sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses)
and carried our sorrows and pains [of
punishment], yet we [ignorantly]
considered Him stricken, smitten, and
afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But
He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our guilt and
iniquities; the chastisement [needful to
obtain] peace and well-being for us was
upon Him, and with the stripes [that
wounded] Him we are healed and made
whole. Isaiah 53:4-5.
Hebrews 10:12 - Whereas this One
[Christ], after He had offered a single
sacrifice for our sins [that shall avail] for

31
all time, sat down at the right hand of
God,
Romans 4:25 - Who was betrayed and
put to death because of our misdeeds and
was raised to secure our justification (our
acquittal), [making our account balance
and absolving us from all guilt before
God].
What does God except us to do with the
death of Jesus?
Dear Friend, it is not enough to acknowledge
that Jesus exists. Each of us must personally
see His death as God's own offer of peace to
us. We must accept that Jesus died in our
stead and for our sake. We must know that it
is in His death that we receive forgiveness by
faith in His blood. Have you put your trust in
His blood? Have you called on Him to save
you? Have you accepted the redemption that
God offers?
Colossians 1:14 - In Whom we have our
redemption through His blood, [which
means] the forgiveness of our sins.
32
If you have not put your trust in Jesus's
blood, it can be dangerous for you. Right
away, you can call on Jesus and receive the
salvation He has for you.

33
CHRIST JESUS: HIS MANDATE

"The thief comes only in order to steal

and kill and destroy. I came that they may
have and enjoy life, and have it in
abundance (to the full, till it overflows)."
John 10:10.
Dear Friend, the coming of Jesus into our
lives does not only atone for our sins. Jesus'
mandate includes offering us the life of God.
The kind of life that Jesus offers is the life
that has its nature from God. This life which
Jesus offers is the life that takes it source
from God. It is the life that has overcome
Satan, sin and sorrow.
"For in Him the whole fullness of Deity
(the Godhead) continues to dwell in
bodily form [giving complete expression
of the divine nature]. And you are in Him,
34
made full and having come to fullness of
life [in Christ you too are filled with the
Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit -
and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is
the Head of all rule and authority [of
every angelic principality and power]."
Colossians 2:9-10.
When you come to God through Jesus, you
need to know that you received an in filling
of God's nature into you. You become united
with the Lord Jesus.
"But the person who is united to the Lord
becomes one spirit with Him." 1
Corinthians 6:17.
Everyone who has received Jesus have
received a union with the GodHead. This
deposit of God's life into us is to empower us
to live as God's ambassador on earth. God
who saved you has a mandate for your life.
You are God's representative on earth. God
wants us to live our remaining days on earth
doing the will of Him who has called us out
of darkness into light.

35
1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen race, a
royal priesthood, a dedicated nation,
[God's] own purchased, special people,
that you may set forth the wonderful
deeds and display the virtues and
perfections of Him Who called you out of
darkness into His marvelous light.
As a saved person, you must realized that
your salvation automatically brings you into
living for the glory of God. You will be failing
God's divine counsel if you are not living your
life as Christ's ambassador. You cannot afford
to live your life without intentionally living to
do the will of God.
This life of God which Jesus offers is to be
lived by faith. Only those who have seen
Jesus' death as their own can live this life
out.
I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I
have shared His crucifixion]; it is no
longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah)
lives in me; and the life I now live in the
body I live by faith in (by adherence to

36
and reliance on and complete trust in) the
Son of God, Who loved me and gave
Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20.
You cannot live out God's mandate on earth
if you do not live by the faith of Jesus. Christ
Himself came to this world to show us how
to live this life. All His days on earth He spent
it doing the will of God;
"Then I said, Behold, here I am, coming
to do Your will, O God - [to fulfill] what is
written of Me in the volume of the Book."
Hebrews 10:17.
The life of faith can only be lived by giving
ourselves to the word of God. Faith comes as
we open up ourselves to God's word.
"So faith comes from hearing, and
hearing through the word of Christ".
Romans 10:17.
What led to the ruin of Adam and Eve was
their neglect of the word of God. If you will
live out the life of God and fulfill Christ's
mandate for your life, you will need to
devote your entirety to God's word.
37
"And now [brethren], I commit you to
God [I deposit you in His charge,
entrusting you to His protection and
care]. And I commend you to the Word of
His grace [to the commands and counsels
and promises of His unmerited favor]. It is
able to build you up and to give you [your
rightful] inheritance among all God's set-
apart ones (those consecrated, purified,
and transformed of soul)." Acts 20:32.
Your rightful inheritance as a child of God is
embedded in the word of God. If you will
allow God's word have it principal place in
your life, you will live as Christ faithful
ambassador all your days here on earth.
The life which we have been called to receive
because of Jesus's death and resurrection is
one which gives a man an eternal heritage
with God. However no one can live this life
on his or her one strength. The goal of this
book is to point you back to Christ via His
word.

My dear friend, if you will delve into the
Bible prayerfully today, you will find your
portion in God's eternal plan. Do not delay.
Do not postpone your decision. A delay may
be dangerous. I pray that Christ Himself will
open up His word to you and may grace and
peace be multiplied to you. Amen!
