Detailed Instructions

EXAM CONFIGURATION
 Comp-XM is similar to Capstone. Here you would run a business (simpler and
miniaturized as compared to Capstone) of your own, individually as the CEO.
Please refer to the exam guide (pdf document)
 In your exam, you run a business (like we did on Capstone) but for four rounds
(i.e., four financial years). The business decisions for the four years are made
on the Comp-XM spreadsheet.
EXAM STRUCTURE

The Exam Follows the Following Sequence. After Going to The Capsim > Comp-Xm > Exam
Dashboard:
· Make decisions on Round 1 on Comp-XM (this is similar to Capstone). Then
answer the Board Queries 1 (questions pertaining to your business). Then turn
in Round 1 and advance to Round 2. On the exam, the equivalent of the
Capstone Courier is the Comp-XM Enquirer. This, again is available on the
exam dashboard.
· Make decisions on Round 2 on Comp-XM. Then answer the Board Queries 2.
Then turn in Round 2 and advance to Round 3.
· Make decisions on Round 3 on Comp-XM. Then answer the Board Queries 3.
Then turn in Round 3 and advance to Round 4
· Make decisions on Round 4 on Comp-XM. Then answer the Board Queries 4.
Then turn in Round 4 and advance to Final Round
· Then Answer the Final Board Queries and turn in the exam.
GETTING STARTED
Steps to Follow
 Login to Capsim.com using your new Username and Password, which are
attached herewith. Please change your passwords when you first log onto the
platform. Please note that this login is only for the exam and not for your
regular Capstone sessions.
 Click on Comp-XM. Please see the introductory video, About the Simulation,
About Board Queries, Scoring, and Getting Set Up. This is mandatory. You will
not be able to start the exam if you are not familiar with this. Please download
and study the Examination Guide.
 Familiarize yourself thoroughly with the exam structure. Having gone through
so many rounds of Capstone, you should find no problems.
 Download the Exam Guide from the "Getting Set Up" page before the exam.
 Then, launch the Comp-XM software (you can only log in on Comp-XM after the
exam start time above). In Comp-XM, you are all part of the Andrews
Corporation (irrespective of your teams). You would see The Enquirer for round
0 (Enquirer is Capstone Courier's equivalent in Comp-XM). Based upon The
Enquirer for round 0, you shall make decisions in the Comp-XM software for
round 1 and then answer Board Queries 1 on www.capsim.com under Exam
Dashboard. Then based on the Enquirer for Round 1, make decisions for Round
2 on Comp-XM and so on.
 Please make sure you turn in Comp-XM submissions before the deadline.
 Your final score on the exam will be calculated on:
1. Total points earned from the Balanced Scorecard (simulation): 500
Marks
2. Total points earned from the Board Queries (questions): 500 Marks
3. Total: 1000 Marks (Will be scaled down to 35% of your final score)
