Discuss the following topics (both are mandatory):

1. What are your career goals? What skills do you expect to gain from studying at the
Faculty of Economic Sciences and how will they contribute to your professional career?
I work in the automotive industry, in a factory that produces brake pads for cars, cars that are
already on the market or cars that will be launched in the coming years. I have been working in
the factory for almost 10 years and I have been part of the Quality department for nine and a
half years. My position in the company is Incoming Quality Technician. Graduation from the
Faculty and the fact that I have considerable experience in the Quality department, I hope will
help me obtain the position of Quality Manager, in the factory where I work or in another
factory.
After studying at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, I hope to acquire the following professional
skills:
- To elaborate and implement strategies and policies of the organization;
- To identify, analyze and manage the elements that define the internal and external
environment of the organization through diagnostics and analyses;
- To develop and implement the managerial system and its subsystems;
- To use databases, information and knowledge in the application of managerial methods,
techniques and procedures.
After completing the study program, I hope to acquire the complete set of managerial skills and
abilities to lead a department and why not an organization. Graduating from the Faculty of
Economic Sciences will help me see the situations I face every day at work from the perspective
of a manager.

2. Describe a challenging situation you faced in the past. How did you overcome the
challenge?
A year ago I held the position of Quality Engineer, but following the resignation of the Manager,
the reorganization of the company was considered. Because I do not have a higher education, I
was assigned to a lower position, that of Incoming Quality Technician. During this period, I also
learn from the duties of the Incoming Quality Engineer, to help me evolve and be better. This
challenge motivated me to enroll in the Faculty of Economic Sciences.
