Mommy Clean Corporation is established to dominate the dishwashing liquid


industry in Central Luzon. Mommy Clean Corporation has three (3) product line: Mommy
Clean Calamansi Dishwashing Liquid, Mommy Clean Lemon Dishwashing Liquid and
Mommy Clean Protection Plus Dishwashing Liquid.
The marketing strategy of this product is to target the price shoppers. The company
will distribute first in Central Luzon to establish a sustainable income in the company before
branching in Northern Luzon.
Mommy Clean Dishwashing Liquid maybe a slow income company but there will be
assurance to get the Return of Investment after 2 years.

Nature of the Business

I.1 Business Name


Mommy Clean is the company name of this dishwashing liquid business. According
to the survey conducted in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, the majority users of dishwashing
liquid are mothers. The Company thinks that it is efficient decision that the name of a product
must be relevant to the majority of its consumers. Since the majority of consumers are
Mothers, it is necessary to establish the name of the product as Mommy Clean.

I.2 Business Logo

The business logo of company has a deep meaning. Pink stands for good motherhood
and love for their family. If there is a problem, Mommy is always on your back.
Addition to this, the product of line of the business is also related to the main logo of
the company. The reason why the company logo is looks a like to the product line logo
because of relativity or we called family.

Dishwashing liquid (or washing-up liquid in British English), also known


as dishwashing soap, dish detergent, and dish soap is a detergent used to assist
in dishwashing. It is usually a highly-foaming mixture of surfactants with low skin irritation,
and is primarily used for hand washing of glasses, plates, cutlery, and cooking utensils in a
sink or bowl. In addition to its primary use, dishwashing liquid also has various informal
applications, such as for creating bubbles, clothes washing and cleaning oil-affected birds.
Washing soda (sodium carbonate) is used for dishwashing, and may be used in areas
with hard water. It was used for dishwashing before detergents were invented in Germany
during World War I. Liquid detergent used for dishwashing was first manufactured in the
middle of the 20th century. Dishwashing detergent producers started production in the United
States in the 1930–1940s. Teepol, the first such in Europe, commenced production in 1942.
In 2005, dishwashing detergent retail sales totaled nearly US$10 billion worldwide.

1.4. Industry and Purposes of the Business


Dishwashing liquid is used primarily for removing food from used dishes and
tableware. Heavy soil (large food particles) is generally scraped from the dishes before
using. Detergent formula can vary based on use (hand or automatic).

1.4.a Hand dishwashing


Dishwashing liquid mixed with water on the left side of a sink. Hand dishwashing is
generally performed in the absence of a dishwashing machine, when large "hard-to-clean"
items are present, or through preference. Some dishwashing liquids can harm household
silver, fine glassware, anything with gold leaf, disposable plastics, and any objects made of
brass, bronze, cast iron, pewter, tin, or wood, especially when combined with hot water and
the action of a dishwasher. When dishwashing liquid is used on such objects it is intended that
they be washed by hand.

Hand dishwashing detergents utilize surfactants to play the primary role in


cleaning. The reduced surface tension of dishwashing water, and increasing solubility of
modern surfactant mixtures, allows the water to run off the dishes in a dish rack very quickly.
However, most people also rinse the dishes with pure water to make sure to get rid of any
soap residue that could affect the taste of the food.
Dishwashing liquid can be a skin irritant and cause hand eczema. Those with
"sensitive skin" are advised amongst other things to persuade someone else to do the washing
up.

Mommy Clean Corporation has a one product and three product line. The product of
the company is dishwashing liquid. The product line of the Mommy Clean Dishwashing
Liquid are Mommy Clean Calamansi, Mommy Clean Lemon and Mommy Clean Protection
Plus. The different scent of Mommy Clean markets the preference of the consumers.

The pricing strategy of Mommy Clean Dishwashing Liquid is based on the
price of Max Glow and Joy Dishwashing Liquid. The strategy of Mommy Clean Dishwashing
Liquid is always cheaper than Max Glow by maximum 5 pesos.

The psychological factor of the consumers is the basis in the marketing price strategy.
Since the company’s target market are Price Shoppers, the decision making of Price Shoppers
is choosing the cheapest price. Regardless the effectivity of the product, the Price Shoppers
will buy the cheaper one than the branded one or high quality one.

IV.2 Procedure
The procedure of producing a Mommy Clean Dishwashing Liquid is the same for all
company’s product line. The only difference is the variation of scent that the company wants
to use. The table shows the steps in producing the Mommy Clean Dishwashing Liquid.
