Introduction
The United Kingdom and the United States are two of the world's most culturally diverse
countries, with a rich history and tradition of celebrating holidays and festivals. While
there are some similarities between the two countries' festivities, there are also some
key differences.

This table compares some of the most important holidays and festivals celebrated in the

Conclusions
Manuel Tolentino Luevanos
On this activity we can appreciate the differences that exist between these two cultures,
while the United States and the United Kingdom share historical and cultural ties, there
are distinct differences in the way traditions are observed and celebrated in each
country. These variations are influenced by factors such as regional diversity, historical
backgrounds, and evolving societal norms. The USA tends to embrace a more diverse
and multicultural approach to traditions, often blending and adapting customs from
various cultural backgrounds. In contrast, the UK often maintains a stronger attachment
to its long-established traditions, which are deeply rooted in history and can vary
significantly between different regions.

I realized in this activity that we do not all celebrate the new year in the same way,
some simply have a party in a different place and in other countries they do it in a
specific place in which they celebrate with fireworks, food and even live concerts of the
festivities, just as during the new year they do parades among other things in some
countries.
Karla Ivette Zamudio Montoro
Developing this activity, we are comparing the traditions of the United States and the
United Kingdom during different holidays as it provides us with fascinating insight into
how cultures can influence the way people celebrate and give meaning to this holiday.
Personally, I had to research Christmas and you can observe some similarities, such as
the emphasis on family reunion and the exchange of gifts, the differences in food, customs
and activities reveal the cultural diversity and historical peculiarities of each region. These
comparisons not only enrich our understanding of the holiday festivities, but also highlight
the importance of cultural diversity and the richness of traditions that enrich the global
landscape. In addition, comparing these practices fosters cross-cultural understanding
and promotes appreciation of the variety of ways in which people celebrate and make
sense of meaningful events in different parts of the world.

Carol Valeria Valenzuela Sosa.

Traditions in the United Kingdom often differ from those celebrated in the United States,
but even the same traditions have different names and are celebrated in very different
ways in terms of customs and dates. Personally I found very interesting the Harvest
Festival which was the holiday that I analyzed because it seems to me that it has a more
serious and religious approach in the UK, while in the United States it is a day of activities.

CHELSEA SANCHEZ RINCON IAS

In essence, while both countries share the core elements of Halloween, including
costumes, decorations, and themed foods, the variations in the intensity of certain
traditions and the historical emphasis highlight the unique cultural flavors each nation
brings to the celebration of Halloween.

Juan Antonio Villarreal Carrillo

Despite the independence of the United States, I found it curious that they celebrate this
holiday as Bonfire Night, it is something that despite the years has been maintained,
perhaps with less regularity due to how the world has evolved with traditions, but
interesting from the point at which it continues to be celebrated, since at that time the
kings were still maintained and how they celebrated discovering the conspirators
against the king.

Edson Javier Vallejo Balderas

To end this activity I can conclude that it was very interesting to learn about the different
traditions that exist between ,one country and another, it is impressive how customs and
traditions can change too much, what for some may seem very strange others can see it
as something normal that happens every day, and that is what differentiates and gives an
identity and culture to each country.
