Analysis Of Why Many Students Skip Breakfast In The Morning

Adolescence is one of the period of development humans. The present is the time change or transition over time childhood to adulthood includes biological
changes, psychological changes, and change social. In general, adolescence starting at the age of 10-13 years and ends at the age of 18-22 years.
Approximately 1 billion people, or about 1 inevery 6 of the world population are teenagers. As many as 85% of whom live in developing countries. Teenagers
are human resources for future development, to improve the quality of human resources, many factors must be considered one of them is a factor of food
(nutrients) in the morning. But nearly 50% of teenagers especially late teens skip breakfast. Breakfast served to stimulate glucose and micro-nutrient in the
brain that can produce energy, but it can take place in order to help stimulate the brain to concentrate the study and facilitate the absorption of the lessons
that can be achieved quality youth.

The results of this study show that majority of the respondents were female (85.1%). The age of respondents ranged between 17-22 years, the most
respondents were 18-year-old students at 56.6%. Based on table 1.2, the data shows that out of 45 respondents, most students are not used to having
breakfast. Where this habit arises on average for reasons that say "don't have time" with a percentage of 48.6%. Then in the next table, 1.5, it is found that
most students experience the effects of skipping breakfast. The first position is lack of concentration with a percentage of 34.5%. Then followed by fatigue
with 27.3%.

Conclusion : It is concluded that eating breakfast can affect concentration level of a person, especially in adolescents as human resources for future
development. Eating breakfast provides energy that is used for the first hour of doing activities, especially in the learning process. In addition, eating also
serves to increase blood glucose levels in the body. Without breakfast a person will experience hypoglycemia or glucose levels below normal which will cause
the body to shaking, dizziness and difficulty concentrate. That's all due to lack of glucose which is the source of energy for the brain. For teenagers, especially
students, a good breakfast should contain carbohydrates because it will stimulate glucose and micro-nutrients in the brain that can produce energy, which
can produce energy. Besides it can stimulate the brain to help focus the mind to learn and facilitate absorption of lessons.
