    The word "on" has several meanings and uses, as it can function as a
    preposition, an adverb, an adjective, or part of a verbal expression. Here
    are some of the most common uses:

    Preposition: Used to indicate position or location, as in "on the table" or


    "on the corner."
    Time: Used to indicate specific moments in time, as in "on Monday" or
    "on July 4th."
    Surface: Can indicate that something is in contact with a surface, as in
