 PREFACE

By offering Praise and Gratitude to the presence of Allah SWT, who has given
guidance so that the author can complete this Industrial Work Practice Report. Basically,
the purpose of making the Industrial Work Report is to fulfill one of the requirements in
taking the National Examination and School Final Examination.
The author was able to complete this Industrial Job Training Report cannot be
separated from the guidance and instructions of Mr. or Mrs. Teachers both supervisors
from the school and from the South Star workshop, on this occasion the author would like
to say thank you very much to my beloved parents who always provide encouragement
both moral and material to the compiler. And also thanks to all those who have helped
the author including:
1. Mrs. Sri Utami, S.Pd.MM. as the principal of SMK Negeri 1 Binangun.
2. Mr. Nanda Akbar Rastiana, S.Pd. as the head of light vehicle engineering
competence.
3. Mr. Anggita Senja Ilhami, S.Pd. as a mentor in the implementation of prakerin.
4. Mr. Salam Andrianto as the head of the South Star Workshop who has given
me a lot of knowledge during the internship activities.

6. Parents and Families who have provided encouragement and motivation and
prayers so that the authors can complete this report

A. Background

Education and technology is one of the demands that must be applied in

order to improve quality human resources. One of the facts is that the use of high
technology has been expected in the industrial world in Indonesia and all of that
has experienced such rapid development.

Automotive engineering students at the state vocational high school 1

Binangun who are prepared as prospective experts in the industrial world really
need a vehicle for knowledge, experience, and skills found in the industrial world
as an effort to realize integration between the world of education and the world of
industry

Oriented to the application and development in accordance with their

scientific activities. One of the things that is needed is industrial work practices in
an industry or what is often called prakerin. Industrial work practice is a curricular
program of SMK NEGERI 1 binagun which aims to enable students to recognize,
know, and train attitudes and work ethic that prioritizes work discipline,
commitment, effectiveness, work efficiency, and work relations in the industrial
world or companies.

In addition, industrial work practices serve to help facilitate the transition

of students from the world of education to the real world. The implementation of
industrial work practices is expected to make a positive contribution to both
parties, both students who carry a good name and the industry or company as a
place for students to carry out industrial work practices. This is done for the sake
of good relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two parties.

Based on the reviews above, the authors carried out industrial work
practices in the South Star workshop because it was in accordance with the
concentration material of the automotive engineering study program that the
compilers studied at SMK N 1 binagun from various kinds of existing workshop
work.

B. Purpose
The objective of this Industrial Work Practice (Prakerin), is one of the
programs determined by the Vocational High School as one of the requirements
to complete education at the Vocational High level.
The objectives of this field work practice include:
1. To form a constructive mindset for the students of PRAKERIN;
2. Train students to communicate/interact professionally in the real world of
work;
3. Establishing a good work ethic for PRACTICES students;
4. Add and develop the basic knowledge possessed by Prakerin students
according to their respective fields;
5. Adding the types of skills possessed by students so that they can be developed
and implemented in everyday life;
6. Establish good cooperation between schools and the industrial and business
world.

C. Benefits
1. Adding professional and reliable skills, knowledge, ideas about the business
world or industry.
2. Producing human resources who have professional expertise, with skills,
knowledge, and work ethic that are in accordance with the demands of the
times.
3. Shaping the mindset of students so that they are constructive and provide
experience in the world of industry and the world of work.
4. Establish good cooperation between schools and related companies, both in
the business world and the industrial world.
5. Get to know students on field work in the business world or the industrial
world, so that when they enter the real world of work they can adapt quickly.

The main discussion of my report is about MAINTENANCE OF THE
COOLING SYSTEM RADIATOR ON 2004 ISUZU PANTHER. The detailed

1. Conclusion
Industrial Job Training activities are very beneficial activities for students,
and they can get to know more about how to work in the field according to
each student's expertise. So that students can see an overview of business
activities in the future, and students know the competency standards that will
be used as job opportunities and job opportunities.
In the business world, good discipline is needed, agencies usually require
employees who are disciplined, skilled, diligent and intelligent.
In this industrial work practice, sufficient expertise is required. As long as
the author carries out Prakerin (Industrial Work Practice), the author feels
proud to be able to gain knowledge that the author has never obtained before
and gain a lot of experience.
Another objective of Prakerin (Industrial Work Practice) is to broaden the
horizons of students, especially in the field they occupy. There is also a
preferred place, namely the archive sorting room, where authors can learn and

 can find out what the author has not gotten so far, especially knowledge about
the various archives available.
Industrial Work Practices have been carried out well, with their respective
expertise programs without any obstacles and the authors say many thanks to
those who have been willing to accept the authors as they are to carry out
Prakerin (Industrial Work Practices) and are willing to accompany the authors
during the Prakerin.
2. Suggestions
a. for the Implementation of Industrial Work Practices
In the preparation of this report the authors provide some suggestions as
follows:
1) Improve the knowledge of students in practical activities. So that
students can easily adapt to the work environment.
2) Add hours of practice in teaching and learning activities.
3) Supervising visits to industrial work practices (PRAKERIN) are
added. So that students will always be under the guidance of the
supervising teacher.
4) There should be communication from a distance between students and
tutors. To help when students have problems during PRACTICE.
5) After completing the internship, students should immediately be
required to complete the internship report as soon as possible.
During the reporting period, guidance should be disseminated to
students. In order to expedite the completion of the report.
b. Suggestions for Grief
1) For students who are not disciplined, they should be given strict
sanctions.
2) Do not accept too many students for PRACTICE. So that students will
be more active in dealing with problems at work.
3) Divide working hours efficiently to get the job done. Must pay more
attention to students who are PRACTICING
