Solution: FIVE DATA VALIDATION FORMULA WITH EXAMPLES are as follows :

1. Numeric Range Validation:


•Select the cell or range where you want to apply the validation.

•Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Data Validation," and choose "Data Validation" from the
dropdown menu.

•In the "Settings" tab, select "Whole number" or "Decimal" under "Allow," and set the
minimum and maximum values under "Data" using formulas like:

•Formula: =AND(A1>=0, A1<=100)

2. Date Validation:

● Select the cell or range where you want to apply the validation.
● Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Data Validation," and choose "Data Validation" from the
dropdown menu.
● In the "Settings" tab, select "Date" under "Allow," and set the start date and end date
using formulas like:
● Formula: =AND(A1>=DATE(2023,1,1), A1<=TODAY())

3. Text Length Validation:

● Select the cell or range where you want to apply the validation.
● Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Data Validation," and choose "Data Validation" from the
dropdown menu.
● In the "Settings" tab, select "Text Length" under "Allow," and set the maximum
character limit using a formula like:
● Formula: =LEN(A1)<=10

4. List Validation:
● Select the cell or range where you want to apply the validation.
● Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Data Validation," and choose "Data Validation" from the
dropdown menu.
● In the "Settings" tab, select "List" under "Allow."
● In the "Source" field, specify the range or list of values that are valid using a formula like:
● Formula: =$A$1:$A$5

5. Custom Formula Validation:

● Select the cell or range where you want to apply the validation.
● Go to the "Data" tab, click on "Data Validation," and choose "Data Validation" from the
dropdown menu.
● In the "Settings" tab, select "Custom" under "Allow."
● In the "Formula" field, enter a custom formula that evaluates to TRUE or FALSE based on
your validation criteria, such as:
● Formula: =A1="Open"
● These formulas can be used in Excel's Data Validation feature to ensure the data
entered in cells meets specific conditions or constraints.
