MECHANICS
1. To play DODGE BALL you must first gather 2 teams (15-18 members per team) and
get a ball.
2. Players play in front of the end line, each of them must have a space behind them
(5m). When the player is out, they must go and play behind the other
3. To eliminate all opposing player by getting them "OUT". This may be done by: Hitting
an opposing player below the shoulders with a LIVE thrown ball. Catching a LIVE ball
thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground.
4. Seven (7) minute time limit. The teams with the most wins in the 7 minutes will be
deemed the winner. If teams are tied, there will be a sudden death game to
determine match winner.

THE TWIST
• There is two (2) balls each side to confuse you who is going to throw the ball, but
they will not hit you at the same time.
• There is a punishment for those who would get hit. Once you get hit you will get
out of the game, and you will do a JUMPING JACK non-stop until your
teammate(s) save you by catching the ball.

ELIMINATING THE OPPOSING PLAYER:

A PLAYER IS OUT OF IT:

• They throw a ball that is caught by the other team.

• They get hit by a ball thrown by the other team. (If the ball does bounce off an
opposing player and is then caught the thrower will then be out. This is true even
if a different player catches the ball. However, if the ball bounces off another ball,
the ball is dead.). Players may use the ball to block; however, if the ball is knocked
out of their hand while blocking, they will be out.
• They hit another player above the shoulders.
• They cross the center line.

A PLAYER IS NOT OUT IF:

• Their ball is caught off the wall or ceiling.

• They get hit above the shoulders

"Remember the 5 D’s of dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge."

before balls can be thrown.
